Shieldless Chieftain Build and Textbook Kills [Video Tutorials - FA off with controller overlays]

I started a short video series on how to build and fly a shieldless Alliance Chieftain in AX combat.
Controller inputs are demonstrated using controller overlays to demonstrate FA off inputs.
The textbook kills are intended to showcase interceptor mechanics and the "textbook" way of dealing with them without any shenanigans, which is the recommended way of doing things during progression. Hopefully useful to someone.

Just watched the first video, very informative. I tried this build and got absolutely slaughtered. Not the ships fault, totally mine due to a lack of skill, so I went back to the Krait. Think I'll give the Chieftain another try. Thanks for the video's

If you’re struggling I would suggest going with one of AXI’s recommended shielded builds (chief/krait - you can find them on the AXI homepage). The shield can be very useful as a training wheel while you are getting used to the fight mechanics and flying.

Excuse me, isn't fighting with a shield different from fighting without a shield?

No. You should still be using the same tactics. The shield is a training wheel. Unless you are in a large ship.

Just kidding.

Had a blast at while failing at my first cyclopses. It sure wasn't the chieftain that let me down, got me out alive every single time, though often just with a sliver of hull.
Tried to follow your example as close as possible, but just couldn't get that flak to work. Also not the FA off reverski.
Guess that means back to flight school for me then. Good thing there where way more capable pilots out there defending humanity.
