First it's a delay. Then it becomes something more. Don't forget Frontier have already confirmed officially that they have no plans at all for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Odyssey will never be released on console.

Frontier will drop support for Elite Dangerous on PS4, Xbox shortly after Odyssey releases on PC.

At current scalper prices for ps5 its probably cheaper and easier to go for a good gaming PC anyways tbh. I've seen online my psvr can even be used for ED if I jump through enough hoops

OP seems serious, so i treated it as such. And yeah, console ports do have a habit of being worse than their PC counterparts. Its really something everyone should take into consideration when deciding whether to get a PC or a console.

Its a bit silly knowing console ports often get the short end of the stick, then getting a console, then complaining about it. Its akin to sticking your hand in a fire knowing it will burn you and then complaining that the fire burnt you.

But at least FD are not saying it won't be supported, just that it will take longer to release.

And hey, GTA was out on consoles a year before it hit PC! Its not always one way.

It can, but the tracking has a habit of going off and very quickly you'll be arching your neck at impossible angles in order to face foward.

I can help you get it set up if you have any bother. The tracking is the only real problem with it.

GTA Online offered full account platform transfer.

Frontier grind-lock you into a specific platform, and then slowly kill that platform.

Although that isn't what FD said. Its 6 months extra before it will be ready on consoles. They surely already have dev versions ported since they confirmed it will release for PS4/Xbox.
