FD can't delay it though. The PC one has to release before the end of the quarter as set out by its LSE statement.
Is that true? Also, if yes, why does that only affect the PC version and not console?FD can't delay it though. The PC one has to release before the end of the quarter as set out by its LSE statement.
In the politest possible way, there were 8 million 'free' Epic accounts created in a week, Frontier would be very short-sighted (in a business sense) to delay the DLC release on PC and lose potential sales to these 'new' players whilst they are still in the 'honeymoon period' with the game. (after all, they need to make some effort to recoup as much of the development cost of the DLC as possible)Is that true? Also, if yes, why does that only affect the PC version and not console?![]()
You might want to read what you wrote again, it appears even you don't understand what you're suggesting. No, if you read exactly what I've written that's not what I'm suggesting.

I have a PC to play Odyssey on, but carry on.
That's a very interpretive statement. Do you play on console or PC?
To be fair it doesn't matter. He could quite easily play on pc but still want ED:O to be not delayed but not released until console releases (his words not mine). I still don't agree with him but the 2 points are not necessarily contradictory. That's a very interpretive statement. Do you play on console or PC?
Both. Contrary to popular theory it's possible to own both a console and a PC, and be happy to dip in between the two. I don't think we should be deriding others simply for making a difference choice. Similarly, the general progressive trend is for games to become platform agnostic and I see this particular announcement about Odyssey as a backwards step. There is another way is all I'm saying. Forget the past, stride into the future together, for a shared Odyssey.
Well, not exactly shared as there is not, nor apparently likely to be, crossplay... So me and my game friends on both PC and consoles will never meet in-game to play alongside each other... Yes, I can play with squadron members on PC, or PS4 - yet never 'meet' the Xbox members...Forget the past, stride into the future together, for a shared Odyssey.

So together? Not really, although the sentiment is nice.
Both is again open to interpretation. I have the game on console and PC, have played on both. But I don't play on console anymore, so I don't feel I could honestly claim I play on both. Maybe some people have a poor quality PC so mostly play on console, which might cause them to campaign for the PC version to be delayed.
Well, I suppose you could put off buying Odyssey until it is released on all platforms, to show solidarity to "The Community", that would work.I play on both. My PC and console are relatively similar in terms of 'grunt'. I will be playing Odyssey on PC.
Hopefully alongside all of our excellent community, not a subset.

Oh, I don't believe so - I quoted your original post in large, easy to read, text very recently.I sense you're deliberately missing the point CMDR![]()

Do you not consider it strange that "The Community" have not rallied, in their masses, to your call, but instead rejected it? Or perhaps this is not "The Community" you mean?
LOOK AT HIM!!! SPLITTER!!!Now you're referencing a completely different post. Nevermind.
To answer your question, No I don't find it strange, considering the demographic of this section of the forum.
