Yes, it is. My software is used on game consoles, PCs, mobile phones, Android TVs, AppleTV and few others... Please stop trying to justify FDev delays...

If the sole basis of your argument is that your companies product is less affected by COVID than FDev therefore FDev is being less than honest, then I'm going to need more info than just "my software". What software and what company please? I need to make sure your apples aren't really oranges, you understand.

So please, dont be suprised that hyped ppl (otherwise they wouldnt preorder) are complaining for delay. Pandemy havent started week ago, they should take it into account when planning release.

Can't really do that. The Christmas lockdown got an extension that nobody at FD could've have reliably predicted, nor how long it would last. Had they accounted for it, and it had not happened, then that's another problem to be criticized for.

People will complain no matter what happens, that's about the only thing for certain.

What's the name of your website/app? I'd like to check out its reviews :) Browsers, phones, and TVs are wonderfully standardised to make compatibility very easy and straightforward, makes development relatively easy nowadays (y)

What do you use motion capture for?

FWIW I'd like to go on record as saying that the delays don't bother me, I'd rather that the team stay safe, and eventually release a game they feel proud of, rather than either take risks and or release something seriously compromised just to meet launch-date-expectations.

And if they should so happen to decide to use this extended development period to move on from VR on foot being a virtual flat screen rendered in the headset to a stereoscopic 3d VR headlook like the cockpit experience is, I'll be delighted.

Is it an MMO with thousands .. of billions .. of visitable planets in 40 different ships all with persistent intenal damage models, networked in scaling P2P with up to 16 in a real time instance but something over 5,000,000 users sharing the playspace, including scientifically plausible 3D models of alien designs, dozens of tradeable commodities and both algorithmic and hand introduced community missions?

;)

I think the key part of his post is:
Our software delivers content nationwide
So it would be interesting to have it confirmed that they are games developers, rather than just the equivalent of Transit Van drivers...

@StuartGT mate, I know I normally take the mick on here, but not this time - just wanted to say good on you for doing this thread pal. I imagine there will be a lot more salt from the entitled, and you'll be the white knight etc., but imho this is important to say, and a small proportion of the community on here need to be a little less juvenile, and actually grow some nuts (exceptions for our lady members like the charming lovely @Susanna ;) ).

Good man for doing this, I will try to help out with any wieners in need of place putting!
