Newcomer / Intro Guardian FSD

This is a really nice guide and the commander that put it together has linked at the beginning his guides for weapons and slf too.

If you dont want to follow a guide (yea, some people are that crazy) you can head for Canonn site.
Nice details about Guardians Structures and a list of them structuctures.
Just pick one and try it out

I have one H4 Guardian FSD's but I need an H5. If I can't get more then one at a time do I need to sell the H4 and then go to the Tecno broker for the H5?

I wonder if you have become a bit confused by the answers.

1. Like many modules you can only fit one of a type in your ship at a time.

2. You can actually own / buy / store as many of these as you like (subject to storage limits).

So for example - when you go to a station that sells the modules, buy the 5H FSBooster and select store your current module - then you can transfer the 4H booster and use it on another ship as required.

You unlock the guardian modules once, then you can buy any size at will - obviously not every station sells them.
So you unlock the Guardian FSD booster once, and you have access to all sizes forever. Same for guardian hull reinforcement, for guardian module reinforcement, guardian PP and PD

Weapons are the exception: you have to unlock the small guardian gauss cannon and separately you have to unlock the medium guardian gauss cannon (kinda crazy if you ask me). Same for other various Guardian weapons (separate unlock for different sizes and for fixed and turreted versions)

I did not know that. What a stupid situation. I wonder if it is an overlooked carry-over from the days when engineer pinned blueprints were different for each mount type.

I would never have sussed out how to get a Guardian blueprint without a guide. A walkthrough. And videos. I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, I'll admit, but getting one of those things without a guide would have not only baked my noodle, it would have caramalised it at the bottom of the pan.
It's probably worth realising that when we were first doing the Guardian sites we were doing the sites, not trying to get blueprints. It was very much 'oh, there's a new variety of sites - let's explore them, see what there is there, what's new, what does what, etc.', not 'we need to get blueprints, how can we do it'. The blueprints (or rather knowing how to get them) came as a result of that.

It's a good approach, and I'd recommend giving it a try with that mindset rather than dismissing your own abilities (especially when essentially no one else actually really did what you're saying you wouldn't have been able to).

If you do give it a try, you might even find or spot some of the other stuff that's there that the guides won't point out to you! ;)

So, basically what you all are saying is, I am not looking in at the right tecno brokers. Any suggestions on where a good spot to find brokers that can get me what I want?

You only need to visit the broker to unlock the blueprint.
You only need to unlock a particular module blueprint once.
Once you have unlocked the module blueprint you get the modules from outfitting as with any other module.

If you have the size 4 module then unless it is the one from the CG a while back you will have done the unlock and can buy as many other modules as you can afford/have storage for.

As has been mentioned you can only have one fitted to a ship at a time.

Get a blue print? I probably wouldnt even have found a Guardian site. Without any of the guides, I would probably still be worrying about rebuy on my D rated Cobra or something.
