Lets have Thargoid orbital stations in ED

The idea of thargoid space stations of different types or their own thargoid type that cannot be destroyed, but defense weopons that can be made inoperable by missions, Then damage the station and or over take it with combat just made inoperable to then be repaired by humans and used by humans. once repaired it would be come a target again for thargoids to attack and take over if they can, ad infinitum.

There could be a number of these stations that are specifically used for this kind of game play, in a capture the flag scenario where both teams attack and defend, outside then inside the station where combat up close and personal with the thargoids or just inside with them ?

it may mean giving a certain number of systems to the thargoids or one system as a home world like sol is to humans.

What do you think.

I reckon Thargoid stations / megaships / hive ships / whatever just exist in hyperspace - nobody has found a Thargoid-inhabited world yet so finding stations in normal space is unlikely - at least until the permit-limits get switched off.

Thargoid stations would be in witchspace where they live.
I'd love to visit one and meet the peaceful, farming artists on their own ground to immerse myself in their beautiful and ancient culture.

If such things were added I'd venture this might be in the COL 70 Sector. Should that area become "open" to us (possibly sometime after Odyssey is released) we might encounter them. Do the right things, act friendly, maybe they'll let you park and trade stuff (scooping several tons of ammonia from gas giants is a possibility).

All conjecture, of course, no one knows what's coming. It would be nice if some of these restricted areas with unknown permits are finally released but the plain and simple fact is that we just plain don't know specifically what's there or if that's something that'll come AFTER Odyssey.

It would be very nice to have a "proper" Thargoid space ingame, with stations, colonized planets, ships and all the other bits and pieces of a spacefaring civilization (Thargoid wedding barges, anyone?). Given the highly aggressive and territorial nature of the Thargoid, exploring those systems would be very hazardous indeed, but could potentially yield great rewards/opportunities for those who dare to go there.

It could also be a nice opportunity to break up the "max jump range" meta for explorers and promote more sturdy and resilient exploration builds.
