Cutter Mass Lock Factor changed

Hey friends,

I was recently mass inhibited by a T-10 with an inhibition factor of 26 while in my Cutter.

So the MLF of the Cutter, which was 27 last time I checked, has obviously been lowered. Coriolis is still listing it as 27 either. Has anyone tested what the new value is? I would normally try it myself, but since NPC Cutters are not particularly easy to find, it would be practical if someone already figured it out :)

Thanks.

I do have a type 10, and some smaller ships, if you want I can help testing with you.
(PS if I’m right, mass locking does not affect you as long as your ships’ MLF is higher then the other, even if it is by 1 right?)

I wish FDEV would revamp the arbitrary mass lock factors altogether. Make it simple, have 100t of current mass count as 1 MLF point. That would open up some interesting choices in builds: Do I sacrifice speed, making my ship heavy so I can masslock more other ships or vice versa ? Also laden freighters would be harder to masslock than empty ones. If you want it more granular, make every 10t count as one point.

Mass locks should really only apply when you are in the vicinity of truly massive vessels, Cutter, Corvette etc.

Mhh, Edsy (which is more accurate than Coriolis) has both the Cutter and T10 set to 26. Could be they upped the T10...

I like that idea! In fact I LOVE that idea!!!

Or your mothership. 🤭
Y'all better not be saying that my mumma can mass lock a conda?

I'd say they nerfed cutter's since the wiki still say it is 27 while T10 stays at 26
The Wiki (which is wrong about quite a lot of other detail too) quite probably copied the number from Coriolis.

Inara correctly has 26 - https://inara.cz/galaxy-shipyard/75/

Despite the title, this post from a little over five years ago corrects the MLF to 26 in the body of the text, so it's not a recent change either.
