I don't think you can make a blanket statement on either side declaring that the SCA and ADA are worth it or not. This is something you'll have to figure out for yourself. For me, it's not worth it and here is why:

When I move bulk cargo I do it in my 720 ton Cutter and FC. It takes me 33 round trips from the station to the FC to fill to capacity. I can do 11 runs in an hour and 3 hours to fully load or unload if I'm not buying replacement cargo at the same station. For me to see any benefit from either I'd need to save 30 seconds on of each trip so I can effectively squeeze in one more in the same span of time.

There is no way the SCA and ADA can shave 30 seconds of my average round trip. With my ship configuration, FC capacity and pilot experience adding either or both is the wrong course of action.

FWIW, and I haven't actually measured it, I think I can dock faster manually than using auto-dock, even with a whale such as a Cutter.

If you engage ADC at 7km and let it dock automatically, yes It is slower. It is actually SLOW, takin time to align and such.
But if you go manually until you pass the mailslot then engage the ADC, it will go quite fast (99m/s inside the station, braking on point, no overshooting the pad, gentle but reasonably fast touchdown). Just make sure you dont pass the mailslot on boost speed and then engage the ADC, it will not end good. :)

It Depends.
If you do really short trips between the station and the carrier orbiting the same planet as the station - SCA will not be helpful, simply because there are little chances you'll get enough speed in 10-20Mm for that to matter.
But if we talk about anything over 10-15 LS, SCA fast dropoff might save a lot of time. And if the distances are even bigger and/or the planet is deeper in the gravitational pool of a giant - it gets even more helpful and you can save a lot, up to minutes if you rely on 7s approach and it's sensibly faster than grav braking or twisting at 5s...

My Cutter has 720T and is fitted with ADC and SCA ;)

Mine does 784t with SCA and ADC. No shields ofc

@Northpin , I'll concede that over longer intervals of play or large distances an SCA can be beneficial. I tend to stick to short to medium play intervals and super cruise distances where it doesn't benefit me on the whole.

does surprise me how low the top 75% is
Lots of new cmdrs who aren't flying T9s or Cutters?
I've seen a lot of Type6's and smaller in the closest system where you can buy meat.
Yeap, me too.
There are quite solid chances that i will slip 3 accounts into Top25 :D
Nice! For the 1st time ever I have done both combat and trade CG. Not top 25% in trade CG, but enough to secure 2 PD rewards. Happy.

Im in the top25% since this weekend, and havent dont any trading since then. I do wonder what all those FC's are doing in the system then, since they arent bothering with this CG.

This pay isn't very nice to be grinded by today's standards. And checking on websites, even the other food isn't getting any remarkable prices.

So I assume folks guarantee their top 75% for the module and leave. 5 trips take like 40 minutes and it's already top 50%. With a massive amount of contributors (8.4k so far) even with such a low amount of effort this was enough for tier 4, so it's a very efficient success (if the average was 10 trips the CG would've been completed already).

That's it for me and good luck with your endeavors, marlinists. May they stay around things like food and peaceful development or your colonies... and away from explosives and green stuff.

To the Cmdr (I remember your name) who left their Type 9 Heavy parked on a large pad at Stillman Hub yesterday for hours and didn't hangar it, that is so not cool and is totally bad piloting.

I hope they got a massive fine or bounty for blocking the pad for hours. I was actually surprised that the station defenses didn't vapourise the ship.

Nope you can raise your ship with out requiring launch request... That way you get to take cool looking pictures in park... on FC or at station...
Waste of electric bill if you leave it there for hours...

Was it Tanya Wu?
Don't upset her, that T-9 has Packhounds and Railguns. 😬

Does hogging a pad in a large station even matter? I doubt there's ever enough people docked at a station to deny people pads.
These days I dunno, it really used to be a thing in open...
'Hey you! You, the guy in the Asp! Leave or logout for <censored> sake!'
those were great CGs, when docking collisions were a real threat. :D

Edit: And now I think of it, that was on PS4!
