To momentarily veer on-topic for a second though yeah, I won't be bothering with the CG because I'm mainly playing my Epic noob alt at the moment and I have so few engineering mats that I'll be hoarding any and all of the ones I collect. I suspect the prospect of giving away engineering mats, even a couple of g5 mats used to trade down to g1s, will be enough to induce horror in new players who are just grasping the joys of engineering and I'm saying this as someone with full bins of virtually everything on my main.

It's seems you're not alone OP, seeing Inara this CG have way less participants than the other. Can't blame you, getting mats is a pain in the horse indeed. Well you can get some manuf by combat so this is ok, and you can get small amount passively by scanning and such, otherwise the meta method are painfully boring. I myself may go and give a few in order to participate, but without proper reward (oh sweet double inge modules) I won't participate more.

Well of course. Plot seems to demand that this conference take place at one of these two locations so this is a guaranteed completion CG. It’s just a question of which location gets more.
