What's going on with embedded youtube videos?

I don't remember when I first noticed it, maybe a week or so ago. But any time someone posts a video, I get nothing. And I assume since nobody else mentions it that I'm the only one. I checked the forum code being used and it's got some weird "media=youtube" tag that I've never seen before. Is this some special tag that firefox just doesn't know about?

Yeah it's a cookies or adblocker thing Brad as far as I know, but I've not suffered myself. I think you just have to allow everything so to speak, but the link above by the kind chap should help :)

Pretty sure I already allow cookies on this site, but it might be an adblocker-type thing. I'll whitelist the site and see if that works.

Now to spend the next hour trawling through the forum looking for one of those video links that I swear was here just a moment ago.

Just had to do this myself and I checked with the last page of the Star Citizen discussion page in the Off Topic section as that has an embedded video.

FWIW deleting everything then allowing marketing cookies does "solve" this, if you consider tracking to be a solution, but if you have the Consent-o-Matic extension running it will very quickly accept "necessary cookies only" on your behalf and you'll be back to square one.

Seriously, it's lightning fast. Blink and you'll miss it, as I did several times. So if you have this extension you need to delete your cookies, disable the extension on this site, then refresh the tab.

Well for anyone who finds this thread in the future, whitelisting in the adblocker didn't help. I cleared cookies from this site and when I logged back in the videos were showing up. So there you go.
