I'm a litle bit disappointed that after 7 years we still can not land at spaceports on earthlike planets. Surely an inhabited planet would apply strick traffic regulations and shoot you down the moment you veered from your designated trajectory and the perimeter around the spaceport receiving you. Thus the developers would not have to create a full scale detailed planet - just a detailed spaceport on the planet and ofc weather effects. Easy peasy right?

Guys, don't be so pessimistic. I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility that Odyssey will let us land on Earth.

Do you know what tenuous atmosphere means? No problem, I had to look it up, too. It means very thin atmosphere. Like almost nothing thin. Need breather. And suit. Games are still a far way off to manage earth like world procedurally created. Very far off.

I don't get this. I don't understand the goal or primary draw of Odyssey if we can't even visit Earth. This just makes the expansion even less appealing to me than it already was.
I mean why bother doing this if we can't go home? What's the point?
