Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

That would be for the bigger ships that cannot land on regular pads / in regular hangars. They would dock using a collar and a telescopic walkway, if we are to believe what devs showed years ago.. interesting that they only start working on it now since that was promised back in 2014 or so.

Ah! This is important, because until they have that, then no flyable Idris or Hull ships.

A legatus friend who wants to be a janitor? I mean, we've joked enough about being a space janitor. I just never realized some people might actually want to play space janitor!
I think the friend is thinking of Roger Wilco* and not realising that the job will probably not be so adventurous in the game, just deck sweeping all day long...

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” - some German guy.
Congratulations, you've just invoked Godwin's law.

Over Star Citizen no less.

CIG and its supporters may be many things, but genocidal monsters are not among them.

There are not enough dislikes in the universe for this kind of post...

Well that certain guy basically ran very very succesfull marketing campaign, before and after getting to power. Despite his political inclinations he knew what he talked about.

I knowingly invoked Godwin's law. ;)

And i think the quote is very appropriate to CIG and the faithful backers, even though they are not even in the same ballpark in terms of seriousness.

So no, i'm not even trying to imply they are genocidal monsters. I'm saying they are liars and have repeated the lies so often they believe their own lies.

This stuff is used over the drop of a hat, these days, certainly where I live -- and unlike Sadie&Dotsie, those folks are dead serious when they do that, whereas our Agony_Aunt inserted some much-needed levity, and pointed out the bitter irony, namely, that there are plenty of folks who will happily use such comparisons to further their own political agenda.

As a Kraut, I do not mind.

Isn't that about Nazis? I thought you addressed contemporary attempts to recreate that.

Ok... is Jorunn being serious here or just trolling?

/giggles

I know I m misrepresenting but this sounds like people have friends based on the ships they own, not for the personality of the people :D

This would mean CIG is either lying or do not have any idea about their own plans. Hopefully the devs can also clarify which one it is.

Devs collectively start sweating hoping it will be one of the others who has to make a statement*

So, you're saying you're not a sour kraut? :D

Wow, even when using ethnic slurs you are extra offensive.....toxic!!!!
I feel doubly offended

Coleslaw is made from kraut. But don't you dare put mayo in it!

YOU ARE NOT MY BOSS!!!!! I ll eat my Kraut the way I like it, how dare you.....

Where is have NPCs make, consume and dispose of coleslaw (with mayo) on the roadmap?

I'm fairly confident that is a branched probability volume in the subsumpted AI mess hall behaviour. Maybe they even mocapped a famous handbag actress struggling with a petulant tub of coleslaw and a Unexpected Opening Event, with procedurally generated coleslaw splatter interacting with physics grids, Avoidance AI, and Pico plushie surface fabric texturing.

This of course would mean Cleaning Gameplay is just round the corner, and a keystone implementation of the already solid foundation of the showcased Mop Career path they had a working prototype of some time ago before development started.
