Aren't you worried that in the near future a large meteorite may fall to the ground or some other catastrophe will occur and we will never be able to play Odyssey?

No, Stellar Forge has no such events coded into it right now 
(but walking around and (very rare event) suddenly getting a Meteorite impacting nearby would be a cool thing)

Fairly certain that, if this occurs, one way or the other, video games will be low on my list of priorities....
In my case I'd win that lottery just seconds before that meteorite impacts....
That's why I don't play the lottery.

I'm a programmer so I get to work from home, but also with all the isolation and such my social schedule is pretty clear. Not much to do but watch movies, play games, read, etc.
I'm more worried I'll have a heart attack and miss the giant asteroid tbh...

Post apocalypse earth could make it easier for FD to make the earth landable in ED though. Of course, they'd have to change the general look of it to be dull and brown and when you get closer have parts of structures sticking out of the sand, thinking a bit like in the Mad Max game but without the crazy inhabitants and hotted up cars.

If a large asteroid strikes the Earth there will be a great increase of "can I haz your stuff". There will be hazzing of stuff like everwhere.
Although you don't need an asteroid for that to happen. @Bottom Hat tries to haz everyone's stuff!
God i can only hope we all get taken out by a giant rock
