Question About Geological Signals?.

I am on a long term exploration voyage in my fleet carrier intending to explore and mine my way to a full hold. On my latest jump I found a planet with 25 geological signals and decided to take out my rather neglected SRV and check them out. I intended to check all of them, so far I have checked 7 and though I am getting a lot of good materials all the scans of the fumaroles are exactly the same type as the first one I scanned. If all of the planetary signals are of the same type then is it worth scanning them and should I just concentrate on gathering the materials instead?.

you can have up to 3 different types per planet including rocky ice worlds - for everything non icey body, which can have 2.
different to some bio signals there is no fixed order.

I was also wondering about this. Then someone gave me a list of criteria for each single bio and geo signal (not sure about geo to be honest) and you could see whether the system matches the criteria for anything different than what you have found on your fist site... If the system doesnt match the criteria, then you will only find the same phenomenon on all the other sites... If the system matches multiple criteria, then you can fid multiple phenomenon on one body... So I basically gave up, because it is just too time consuming to always open the list and check the criteria... I am just a traveler, not an explorer, so I check one or two sites and continue my trip, ignoring the rest...

I did some digging and I mislead you... The criteria list was for Bio signals only... But it might be useful anyway and I believe similar criteria also apply to Geo signals...

Here is the list, thanks to @marx for creating it:

if you run edmc, yiou can install the canonn edmc plug-in, it helps guessing which bios migth be present - and running it adds to their open database.

... actually not really. beside one geological (carbon dioxide non-ice fumaroles), geos are pretty straight forward. they require the right type of vulcanism, plus the temperature for their icey/non-icey variant. while bios can have a lot of critterias, like "water planet present in system", or "so-so-many ls into the system" etc.

That is actually what I meant... That there will be some specific criteria for Geo signals... I did not mean, that the Geo signal would share the same criteria like Bio... I guess I wasnt clear enough and when reading it after myself, i see that my comment came across that way...
