Fleet carrier abuse

Spend $75 and see who actually transfers the goods, at that point its beyond reasonable doubt who needs a ban.

Or maybe track suspicious transfers from FCs, but theres more charity ones by far so unless you stop it all, ie no FC can sell at a loss or below in-system average...

so very little tbh with the info we / they can have available. They could approach ebay and ask for the closure of the accts at their end, no idea how that sort of request usually goes.

Its down to $75 now plus Free Shipping!

I don't get why this bothers people. If someone else wants to drop their real money to NOT play the game the also spent real money for, hey go for it. This game isn't competitive enough for it to matter. Does them getting stuff fast affect me at all? No, there is no ranking or rewards based on ranking. Why does other players getting stuff faster than older players bother the old players so much?

If you want to complain about Fleet Carriers and exploits, complain about FC's and CG's IMO. Way more of a problem on any trading CG because if you don't have a FC good luck. No goods should be accepted that have been stored on an FC.

Your ebay skills are rusty.
Easily found...

From the ad;

"This is a listing for my services (no physical item will be shipped) on Elite Dangerous for Xbox One, PC or PS4. You will land on my fleet carrier and I will gift you 1 billion credits ( 1,000,000,000 CR ). Must bring a cargo ship with at least 200 cargo to speed up the process. All transactions are video recorded for proof of sale."

A fool and his money....

Is this activity a breach of the game's EULA?

Not brightest idea for a new player.

For starters, credits are easy. Second, if they're bad enough to be buying credits, any ship they purchase will quickly present them with the re-buy screen.

Pre-dates fleet carriers.

The Yamiks video

and seems very bad value compared with (sites that are easily found with search engines, but have correctly been removed from this post)

Would not touch it with a bargepole - but clearly some cmdrs are.

Oh well.

Pot calling the Kettle Black

All right for youngsters to use out of game exploits, but carrier owners are not allowed to use legitimate gameplay.

I wonder if the tune will change when he gets a carrier:)

As a side note - please DO NOT put such links on the forums.

As much as reporting this stuff is appreciated, posting these links is strictly against the rules.

I have removed the offending links from all the posts. Please refrain from linking them here. Hope you understand.

Thanks!

My bad. Apologies.

Thats just daft, having proper channels to report stuff is hardly an FD thing and pretending 'any developer would be grateful to be notified about issues in their software on whatever channel' is just disingenious nonsense based on your frustration with FD.

first, the issue tracker in question is clearly not functional so doesn't constitute a "proper channel"
second, before the issue tracker, bugs were reported here on the forum. is that a "proper channel"? was that daft? not that frontier's response was any different
third, in the real world many software developers just use customer support to bridge users and the issue tracker, data collection being possible in many ways and channels, even informal ones. that's why they have dedicated staff for that. dunno what you find daft in that approach, that actually works, please explain?

finally, yeah you also get my motivation wrong. to be frustrated with frontier i would need to have had high expectations. this doesn't happen since about 2016. it's not frustration, it is more like a form of entertainment to mock their incompetence in some fields in stark contrast with their pompous antics, and if it also upsets an angry bystander like you then that's just a bonus, so thanks for that :)

I have a carrier. Staar's Bastion. The problem is players without them can't really compete with players who have them in trade CG's. Maybe if they make the systems you trade between close...

Hmmmm! Does it matter? It doesn't affect the BGS or powerplay does it? Why would you want to spoil anybosy else's fun?

How many players have given their friends and family a leg-up by donating commodities to them?

Not always true. It's a specific set of criteria which make an FC more efficient in a CG. Basically local scarcity of CG commodities at large pad stations. A decent supply at anything less than 4-5 jumps is a win for Cutter/T-9 jockeys.

I dont know, I never ever read one. More importantly though, who cares?
