HIP 54530 Pemit - What system to go to inorder to get allied?

So the HIP 54530 permit is unlocked now. What to do in that system? Why they unocked it? If I go there, what do I do?

A few years ago the federal president's ship was destroyed with her on. She was eventually found alive. They just had trial. The head of the federal ship building company and a federal navy senior officer did it it seems. The core dynamics leader, Jupiter Rochester, fledto the HIP 54530 System where they've gone rogue from core dynamics. That was yesterday or day before he fled there, and today the pilot's federation seem to have revoked the permit that stopped us getting there, kinda, by giving it to everyone. Now it's not a private safe haven for him to hide in

Curious if this is related to Gallnet article below ...

Jupiter Rochester Goes Rogue from Core Dynamics
Several departments loyal to the Core Dynamics CEO have seceded to form an independent corporate republic called Jupiter Division.

During the recent trial of Fleet Admiral Vincent, Jupiter Rochester was named as the paymaster behind the sabotage of Starship One. This hastened long-term plans to abscond from Core Dynamics along with many ships and personnel.

In the permit-locked HIP 54530 system, the HIP 54530 Gold Universal Group has been renamed as Jupiter Division. It is assumed to have long been infiltrated by Rochester’s loyalists.

Using the new self-appointed title of Supreme Executive Rochester, he broadcast this statement across all Federal media channels:

“For many years, I helped Core Dynamics become one of the galaxy’s strongest companies, but petty laws and bureaucracy restricted me at every turn. I have always felt that people should not be ruled by politicians, but by those holding true economic power – the corporations.”

“It will be a long time before I can act on my commercial plans, but I will prove that corporate rule is the most beneficial system of governance for the Federation.”

Jupiter Rochester is the eldest son of Shadow Vice President Isolde Rochester, and a key member of the influential Rochester family. As yet there have been no public statements from his mother or siblings.

That's... weird.

All three of my accounts have just got it (including the one in Colonia). And none of them did anything to deserve it, as far as I know.

Several people have managed to get allied with Jupiter Division (presumed to be the permit-issuing faction), which is normally how you'd qualify, and were wondering how to actually get the permit.

What happens to new players starting after today? Will they have missed out? Odd that Frontier didn't simply remove the permit-lock on the system instead.

Perhaps there will be another relevant Galnet article shortly.

Everyone in the game has been issued the permit.

This is not the first time a permit has been issued to everyone regardless of whether or not you unlocked it. There was a community goal a few years months back (I was sure it was years ago), regarding the death of the Emperor and the community goal was to bring commodities for his funeral. To do so, they (Frontier/Imperials/whoever) issued the (I think) Achenar permit. This was temporary and was revoked not long after the community goal ended.

Permit lock prevents carrier plague.

New players haven't missed out, EVERYONE has it.
The real question is, WHY? ... and how long are we getting the permit for? Is there going to be a Galnet article about it, and/or a community goal?

My suggestion to you, is to use the time you have with this permit, to get allied with Jupiter Division now, so IF the permit is revoked, you MIGHT stand a chance at getting it back.

Just heard the news and paid HIP 54530 a visit. With the two megaships there and Jupiter Division being in a state of war with Silver Legal Group (and today being a Thursday), I guess we know where and what this week's CG will be. I'd like Jupiter Division to win the CG to see what happens, but they'll probably get stomped like all other "bad guy" factions unless they have a good bonus reward for helping them.

Weird thing: I am at Victory's Forge, the megaship controlled by Jupiter Division, and it says it is going to jump to HIP 55014 on the 18th.

That would only work if they were outside the system too

To get a system permit you must be at a station with the respective minor faction, and 20 light years from the permit locked system, and it'll be in the mission board once you're allied. With Jupiter division only being in 1 system, we can't get the permit if it's locked again. Same reason why another 10 or so systems can't be accessed as the permit holders are all only in the locked system

"We can't get the permit if it's locked again" I know, which is why I say get allied with Jupiter Division now, while you can and if enough of us do it, we might be able to get Jupiter Division to expand to another system.

Don't waste this opportunity

It seems the same thing is going to happen here. The news page says " The Pilots Federation has agreed to supply all ships participating in this conflict with temporary permits to access HIP 54530. These will expire early on Thursday the 18th of February 3307. "

I don't know if the system will be accessible again at some future point.

If you are on winning side, your side gives the permit to the top 75%, and then everyone, who didn't participate, can get a permanent permit, from whichever side wins, from the megaship. So that Jupitermegaships scheduled jump, if Jupiter wins, players can get the permit there after being allied. And silver law have a megaship that'll be going to a system and if they win they'll hand out permit

It should remain accessible. The CG text also mentions

1. The winner will get the rights to emit permits;
2. Those who participate in the winning side will get permanent permits;
3. A megaship from each faction will move to a nearby non-permit locked system on next Thursday (HIP 55014 for Jupiter Division, Ts'ao Tach for Silver Legal Group). Pretty sure if you don't have participated in this CG to earn a permanent permit, this system/megaship is where you'll be able to get allied rep and the permit mission.

I understand about siding with the "underdog", but not when it's a corporation. I'll be helping the Federation. We alI saw what happens when business runs the government. Politians for the most part suck but they are the lesser evil.
