Summary
System: HIP 54530
Station: Iron Wings of Justice (Megaship, large pads available, 1,680 Ls from main star, 130.98 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Combat Bonds after fighting for Silver Legal Group in Conflict Zones
Time limit: 17th February 3307 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Jupiter Division ships have engaged in battle with rival Federal vessels in the HIP 54530 system.
Loyalists to former Core Dynamics CEO Jupiter Rochester have built their own breakaway faction in HIP 54530. The FIA suspects that Jupiter Division agents first infiltrated the HIP 54530 Gold Universal Group years ago, and permit locked the system to conceal their efforts to overtake it from within.
Director Theodore Sullivan of the Silver Legal Group announced:
We will not tolerate these criminals illegally controlling this system. Once victory is won, the Federation will be able to bring Rochester to justice.
The Silver Legal Group has asked Federal auxiliaries to support its efforts to degrade Jupiter Division’s military force by handing in Combat Bonds at the Iron Wings of Justice megaship in the HIP 54530 system.
The Pilots Federation has agreed to supply all ships participating in this conflict with temporary permits to access HIP 54530. These will expire early on Thursday the 18th of February. However, neither permanent nor temporary system permits apply to fleet carriers, since they are capable of ferrying vessels which could evade detection and authorisation.
If victorious, each tier beyond Tier 1 will provide a 5% reduction to outfitting at Northrop Enterprise in HIP 54530 to those with access to the system, lasting for one month starting on Friday the 19th of February 3307.
The top 75% of contributors will be allocated a permanent system permit for HIP 54530 by Friday the 19th of February 3307.
Early on Thursday the 18th of February 3307, the Iron Wings of Justice megaship controlled by the Silver Legal Group will move to the Ts'ao Tach system. If victorious, it will be authorised to issue permanent system permits to those who meet their requirements.
The two factions have set out six-day campaigns, which will end early on Wednesday the 17th of February 3307.
To be eligible for rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Combat Bonds at the Iron Wings of Justice megaship in the HIP 54530 system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these combat bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Competing goal with the Jupiter Division CG
  • Iron Wings of Justice is orbiting planet A 3 A
  • Megaship services: Commodity Market, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel
  • Note that due to the permit locked nature of the system whilst Pilots may enter this week, Fleet Carriers may not!

Pretty sure, yeah:
The Pilots Federation has agreed to supply all ships participating in this conflict with temporary permits to access HIP 54530. These will expire early on Thursday the 18th of February.
Early on Thursday the 18th of February 3307, the Iron Wings of Justice megaship controlled by the Silver Legal Group will move to the Ts'ao Tach system. If victorious, it will be authorised to issue permanent system permits to those who meet their requirements.

Same text is part of the other CG description as well but for the Victory's Forge megaship.

taken together these could read that the Feds or PF will give 75% Permit either way and if victorious the JR supporters will also get one.

i must admit I thought 2 were on offer only if JR won until your clarification.

So whats optimal strategy, wait til Tuesday and see who's winning? I need stats and graphs dammit!

ideally you fight for which side you want, but use trade, bonds and bounties to get allied with the other side next week as long as they have assets. in that case you can get a permit mission for which ever side wins next week :)

I understand that top 75% of contributors get the permit and then, only the victorious side gets the megaship to issue new permits to other players.

Btw, those who hate the Federation for the massive power of its corporations should fight for the Federation now? Are they the good guys now?

Well, the other choice is straight up joining to fight for the worst of it's corporate scum and it's megalomaniac CEO sooo..

Of course you always have the option of not joining any side and spending your time at the local spacebar instead.

JOIN JUPITER!

The Federation is choking to death on its outdated bureaucracy – only corporate rule can save it!

Yeah, no.

With the un-damageable ships and and the "Oh, So Sorry, your Canopy has just imploded for no reason, I think I'm tired of Beta Testing your Combat system, kthnksbye

Admiral Golden-Knight, ready to kick anus!

I'm on this side for role-playing reasons. Cmdr Ky Vatta began as a loyal daughter of the Federation, but left in disgust after Admiral Vincent's bombings of civilian targets in Panem and Kappa Fornacis. So the opportunity to ride back in on the bridge of a Corvette and take out the financial backer of that wrong is too good to pass up.

Commander, CZs aren't for the faint of heart or the inexperienced. Regardless of the un-engineered ship or the CZ type, you can tag a ship and as long as you have damaged it within 10 seconds of it's destruction, you earn a bond. If you aren't in an engineered ship and\or are inexperienced, then it's best to act like a mouse and not a lion.

The ships you face, even in the light CZ have engineered hulls and shield cells. Their weapons are engineered as well. That's in PvE. Their are some true sharks that come out for the Federation in PvP (open).

I'm both experienced and in a well engineered ship, and there are still times when I bite off more than I can chew and need to either boost away or low wake out.

oh, and just because your canopy is blown out, doesn't mean you're ship is done. You have until your oxygen runs out to make it to a dock and you can always synth more if you have engineering mats.

If you do quit the game, can I have your stuff?
