Summary
System: HIP 54530
Station: Victory's Forge (Megaship, large pads available, 1,669 Ls from main star, 130.98 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Combat Bonds after fighting for Jupiter Division in Conflict Zones
Time limit: 17th February 3307 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Jupiter Division ships have engaged in battle with rival Federal vessels in the HIP 54530 system.
Loyalists to former Core Dynamics CEO Jupiter Rochester have built their own breakaway faction in HIP 54530. The FIA suspects that Jupiter Division agents first infiltrated the HIP 54530 Gold Universal Group years ago, and permit locked the system to conceal their efforts to overtake it from within.
The self-appointed Supreme Executive Rochester declared:
The Federation is choking to death on its outdated bureaucracy – only corporate rule can save it! But first the galactic community must protect my followers, so I can establish a permanent base of operations.
Jupiter Division has offered generous rewards to any pilots willing to help secure its presence in the HIP 54530 system by handing in Combat Bonds at the megaship Victory's Forge.
The Pilots Federation has agreed to supply all ships participating in this conflict with temporary permits to access HIP 54530. These will expire early on Thursday the 18th of February. However, neither permanent nor temporary system permits apply to fleet carriers, since they are capable of ferrying vessels which could evade detection and authorisation.
If victorious, each tier beyond Tier 1 will provide a 5% reduction to outfitting at Northrop Enterprise in HIP 54530 to those with access to the system, lasting for one month starting on Friday the 19th of February 3307.
The top 75% of contributors will be allocated a permanent system permit for HIP 54530 by Friday the 19th of February 3307.
Early on Thursday the 18th of February 3307, the Jupiter Division megaship Victory's Forge will move to HIP 55014. If victorious, it will be authorised to issue permanent system permits to those who meet their requirements.
The two factions have set out six-day campaigns, which will end early on Wednesday the 17th of February 3307.
To be eligible for rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Combat Bonds at Victory's Forge in the HIP 54530 system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a proportion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for these combat bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Competing goal with Silver Legal Group CG
  • Victory's Forge is in orbit around planet A 2 A
  • Megaship services: Commodity Market, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel
  • Note - due the permit locked nature of the system, although pilots have been issued permits, Fleet Carriers have not so cannot enter!

After reading both descriptions a few times, maybe I'm slightly more interested to help this side and see what happens if Jupiter stays in the system.

Indeed, I am interested in seeing what a possibly new ship company is capable of producing, then to be destroyed or dismantled before they even have a chance.... even if their leader is involved in questionable activities...

I think I'll fight for this side this time around

I want to ask you something. Will we get the permit even if we are on the losing side (within %75 of contributors)?
I really really want to participate in this side but do not want to lose the permission.

no it's only the winning side that gets a permanent permit

no it's only the winning side that gets a permanent permit
Is that for sure? I know there's a blurb in the description about reduced outfitting costs "If victorious...", but it's not clear (to me, at least) if that also applies to the permit.

EDIT: Ah, just saw the additional text regarding the megaship issuing permanent permits: " If victorious, it will be authorised to issue permanent system permits to those who meet their requirements." Looks like I'll have to fight for both sides in this one then :p

Oh, should we have a quick reminder for Mobius PG members?

No PvP in CG CZ!
If you see a human Cmdr on opposite side, be very careful not to hit him. Best to leave CZ and change instance or play Open/Solo.

Really? Interesting. Was that changed at some time? I mean, i vaguely remember that when i joined it, CGs were excluded from the "no PvP" regulation. Not that i plan to violate it, i am merely curious.
