Been happily soloing High CZs all day...I say bring on the Haz CZs 🤪
Pff, lucky you.
Logged in ystrdy, in Haz 4-5 reds immediately went after me (my green fellows were useless), Corvette's Prism shields went down fast, had to run away with literally no fight.
Tried Med, same thing, like half of reds waited just for me!
Continued a bit ashamed with two runs in Low CZ which was then too easy.
Quite strange rng...

For the life of me, I cannot decode from the CG description if BOTH sides get the permit providing they get into 75%, or only the WINNING side?
I am fighting for Jupiter, don't tell me I would also need to pump the other side to 75% to ensure a permit...

Both sides will give the permit to the top 75% on their side.

I have a feeling that a new ship type could be available at the system, and only those with permit will be able to purchase it

recon new vehicles are coming, but going by Rochester's comments it wont be for a while yet

Yeah that happens occasionally, not sure whether it's tied to being "Hostile" with the opposing Faction or just a bug but I've noticed it's always a gang of FAS/Vipers/Cobras

My trick is to put all my pips in SYS & ENG, fly by as many allied ships as possible and pop the odd Heat Sink. They seem to get distracted/bored eventually.
Also finishing off nearby allies targets seems help too as once they're dead your allies will be looking for a new target and you've just brought a bunch with you.

Admittedly, my main CZ ship is a Mamba so this probably wouldn't work that great in a Corvette.

So has any one else been getting Captain and war correspondence actions way more often in high than spec ops or was it just me...
Been a while since ive seen that wing of 4 lately...

No, same here, I think I only got spec ops twice total. And the Captains are crap. They run as soon as their shield is almost collapsing. Brave Sir Robin while the cannonfodder keeps getting killed. And I'm not wasting any hardpoints on my CZ combat ship for Grom Bombs, which are the only way to prevent them from jumping, while they still have a sliver of shield.

Captains can die with correct build...but if your using small/medium ships then there can be an issue... yep...
As this is fed Vs fed I like to kill them with a cutter... lol... extra salt in their shame..

I am about equal for encounters with Captains or Spec Ops, but only had journalists once.

I have only had one Captain get away of the ones that I have found and got involved with the others exploded nicely, I was surprised at how early he left though the rank and file don’t try to leave until they are down to about 20% hull.

I mean, I could see value if it were an economy or facility type that was somewhat lacking in the immediate area, thus boosting trade or background simulation. Ah, well. I guess we'll see.

When first beginning, I tried out some Combat Zones in Pilot's Federation space and despite pursuing bounty hunting as a primary activity I became super-frustrated in CZs. What's the basic theory difference for prepping for CZs over bounty hunting / assassination missions? I'm assuming it has to do with the ability to take damage from continuous threats and to be able to target multiple enemy ships to have the maximal contribution, which would imply larger ships and some turreted weapons. Is that an accurate assumption?

Is it worth bringing in an unengineered medium-sized bounty hunting ship (I fly an Alliance Chieftain)? Or should ships be hardier than that, and engineered?
I fly a small imperial Currier, is very fun, zoom in and out fast, target the wounded ships, go for the steal kill. I manage to go till 50% that way.

I noticed that too but thought best not to mention it...it says by the 19th but we all know that means on the 19th.....or perhaps later.
