Not sure from the image what’s wrong but it looks like you’re trying to use the glass barriers to define the pool? Rather than doing this can you fill the hole when the barriers aren’t there?... (which would be better if this is for animals to use in the habitat)
In any case, Ive found that obstructions are usually either paths too close, or not high enough barriers (you can generally place water with barriers high and then lower them into the ground. Also try selecting the bottom of the barrier and lowering that as well.

In my experience glass barriers seem to be unable to hold water greater than a certain depth (not strong enough or something, IDK). If you're trying to do an underwater viewing area, you may need to use concrete barriers and add a window- it gives nearly the same effect, and you can hide the concrete with rocks.
You can only add Water every Meter, so make sure that the Barrier is high enough. For some Reason the Barrier does also need to be higher since a While. But you should be able to lower it after you've filled it with Water if you don't have the same Problem that I'm currently experiencing with a Concrete Pond

I think you're right. They pop up on forums a lot--weird, tangential replies that take a few words from a post and string them into a nonsensical context that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. There is always a link to an outside site. Without clicking that link, which is always risky, I think maybe this one trying to sell pool products? Do they actually ever succeed in generating clicks? They also tend to select older threads to do this with for some reason.
