Bug or am I stupid (no famines anywhere)

I just looked for 20 mins . Filtered for famine but can't find a single system anywhere on. The game on famine state for the famine relief stations to spawn

I don't think it's a bug. I think you're just unlucky.
May I suggest (if it's applicable), If its datamined wakes you're after then use an open Carrier in a busy system to scan wakes. If it's Chemical Manipulators from the T9s then keep searching for them. I can usually find them on the edge of the bubble but if you don't want to search any more then just trade for them.

EDDB shows 20 systems in famine at the moment. With systems states that rare, it can be very difficult to spot them by filtering the galaxy map.

plus other states (expansion for exampel) have a higher priority for the galaxy map, so a system controlling faction in expansion somehwere might be in famine in a system, but will be filtered out (as it is in expansion for the galaxy map). eddb/inara/spansh can help with that.
