Was there a forum software change?
I have the dark theme on for a reason but today the sticky posts are all lit up bright cyan with white text.

I see it too, seems they are in the process of some tweaking

First it seemed that pinned and post were indistinguishable, and now, pinned is almost unreadable

Absolutely - this "update to service" was introduced last night. While there was a demand for pinned messages to be differentiated following the forum changes of last week, this is overkill in a dark environment.
That this change would not be acceptable should have been blindingly obvious.

The cyan was bad - the orange is still too much for a dark theme.

Raw umber or burned umber should work well enough for the highlight background of stickied threads.

I already let a sigh of relief as it was a nice, neutral grey for a moment. But now it's back to the cyan nightmare.
