Free FAS for bottom 10

That’s right, the free FAS should go to the bottom 10 contributors to the current CG.

Top 10 are closing in on 1 billion in bounties, they’re doing fine. It would be more of a cheap party favor for them.

Jockeying for the lowest single bounty value to turn in has to have challenges of its own, and bottom 10 are the ones who could use a free FAS, so make it so.

It's a good point. Getting the lowest bounty would be just as hard work as the highest!

Bottom 10 must fly an FAS. now that is motivation!

Related side note, it's fascinating how motivating a carrot on a stick is for many. Players grinding 100s of millions of credits to earn a "free" 20 million credit ship . . . I can not fathom desiring top-down initiative so badly. No insult/patronizing meant, just a curious thing.

Support here - it'd be difficult to find a baby bounty for a specific faction to get in the bottom ten!

Would have to make them npc only to get round the "shoot me for my 50cr bounty for loitering" types and so on, but kudos on a good idea!

To be honest, I had a good chuckle at that reward myself. While I see the nice idea behind it, I doubt anyone who can compete within the Top 10 bounty hunters really needs (let alone wants) a FAS anyway

It's a great example of how in-tune FD is to ED gameplay.

0.007% representation among paying customers. Lol. Goes to show how desperate CMDRs are for in-game events, that they will compete for something nobody wants just to be part of an event. And how dismal balance in ED is.

I wonder if I hire a lot of crew and shoot a wanted harmless sidewinder I would be in the vincinity of such a prize ..

I am solidly in the top 25% and if I don't have a chance to log in this evening I should still be there when the CG ends. I will therefore be awarded a system permit I already have and two paint jobs for a ship I don't own. However, my combat rating has gone from 82% Deadly to 90% Deadly, and so I am about 10 trips to a HAZ RES away from Triple Elite. This is the reason I am taking part in the CG. I don't see the point of assuming what other players' motivations are.

Did this CG boost combat rank rewards? If not, then combat rank specifically couldn't have been your motivation to participate in the CG. Unless the specified CZ happened to be one you were using already? If it wasn't the CZ next door to you, why bother?

I'm really not being snark or anything. Genuine questions.

There's no boost, but since I was going to be grinding for the last bit towards Triple Elite, why not do it in the CG? As I said, it's pointless to speculate on the motivations of other players. You would not go out of your way to take part in the CG just to do something you would be doing anyway. I did, just because I felt like it. Neither of us is "right" or "wrong" we are just different people.
