Looked good. But I'm concerned, as we haven't yet seen how ships go through atmospheric entry. It's increasingly seeming like either it's being left as a surprise, or there aren't any atmospheric entry effects at all.
And the beauty of that date is it's the first day of my vacation and the day before my birthday. Thank you FDev for the awesome Birthday present lol!

DLC Release day is normally a write-off.
The best scenario is they simply add the alpha server to the launcher, but it could be as bad as release day.
I have to run down my annual leave before the end of March so already have that week off. Had planned to get out in the sun, but yeah I don't think so now.
For the Alpha, they will have taken a snapshot of the server (probably about now). When you do play the Alpha you may find your progress is slightly back a few weeks.
What happens in Alpha & Beta stays in Alpha & Beta.
Alpha progress won't carry over to main game.
Alpha & Beta would be a good time to try that

To me that's pretty awful, unless of course it's optional.

(I forget how I setup my X56 so it is a voyage of discovery still
)I'd say so - on screen it was press [key] for auto-land...
(My favourite auto-land is when the ground interacts with my ship, usually at a lot of m/s!)
