Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Q&A - Interface and NPCs

Ha! That would be great.

I'd like to know if there's a Fleet Carrier package .. for selling guns, science gear and spacesuits.
I’m sorry I can’t find a quote for you or livestream time stamp, but I think the question was along the lines of “can I do SRV if I’m playing on foot?”

I think they've probably made it you can get in and out of an SRV (don't know for sure but I think likely). Didn't know anything about any possibility of a buggy hire though. (y)

There was a picture of on foot to commanders posing in front of ships and SRV.. SRV was empty. Therefore assuming you can disembark SRV

Sounds pretty cool.

I'm still waiting for more info on non-combat gaming in Odyssey, though. It seems like it's all about combat, so far, since nothing else has been spotlighted. I hope more info is coming soon?

Yeah, hasn't been spotlighted, but it has been talked about. Also some of the mechanics shows in the heist demo could easily be transferred to non-combat situations.

Some people around here have such bad memories :)

From last August, when they talked about everything apart from combat ....

We definitely can exit the SRV, in fact somewhere (don't ask me where) there's a comment from Bruce (I believe) saying the animation of exiting the SRV is fade to black, not an animation.

Thinking about it, I believe this was one of those things confirmed to OA and the content creators?

There was a pretty obvious tease at the end of the combat mission playthrough interview that the next video will focus on flora and fauna.

(Look at the prominent poster behind Bruce when he repositions his webcam... same gag they used to tease the combat playthrough)

Edit: "Desert Species"

That's a retail product you can buy, it's not a hint I'm afraid. Someone in another thread located it online for sale.

The two things aren't mutually exclusive. No, I didn't think it was something he'd made himself or that it was literally a list of the creatures that are going to be in the update. I'm still pretty sure that's a hint.

He deliberately switched camera views right at the end to show it after it being kept pretty much hidden for the rest of the steam, it closely mirrors the hint from the week before (when the content of the upcoming reveal was suggested by a hidden whiteboard revealed at the end of a stream), and one thing they haven't showed us yet is the lifeforms they've told us inhabit some of these desert worlds...

It's a hint.

But it's got rabbits birds and pigs. I can't see us getting those. I don't think there will be any animals at all on tenuous atmospheres.

I mean we might get cactus-type plants, grassy species, so maybe that was a sneaky hint.
