GALNET - 12 MAR 3307 - Starport Bombing Casualties Include Federal Vice President

For now, we mourn the loss of my close friend Brad Mitchell and other heroes of the Federation. I will personally appoint replacements to their positions soon.
Don’t stop bombing until no one will accept these positions of certain death.

Collateral civilian losses are unfortunate, but kudos for targeting those on top.

Marco is far too weedy to be T-7- in the logs T-7 just sits there and takes the kicking while he's planning where the electrodes are going to go on his jailers. Thats cold, steely resolve that Marco lacks- if anything imagine Amos at his worst in the Expanse and I think you'd be far closer...

Or maybe Billy Butcher from the Boys, who is 100% more nutty than Amos...

We've seen the logs.
I'm still erring on the side of the Imps here. What reason would they have to lie about torture? This is the same Empire that executed several treasonous senators right on the Senate floor.

No, I think The Club is behind this. They've got the power, influence, and motivation to pit everyone against each other.

Seriously? They already lie about Slaves and call it something else.

I think this too, somehow in some way its The Club, not sure exactly what the intention is yet though....they usually go in a least-efficient roundabout way to achieve their objectives so its hard to tell what theyre up to.

You think the Empire doesn't have factions within factions vying for position, setting each other up?
The Club? Possibly. Who's in The Club?
What tools and assets do they use? *🧐

*Your assets. The Feds, the Empire, the Alliance, the Pilot's Federation!
Nobody is innocent, but some are more honest than others.( 🍔 🍔🍔)

But doesn't pitting everyone against each other make us more susceptible if the Thargoids decided to launch an all-out attack? Fairly sure the Club want us united against them and this seems counterintuitive to that goal because we all know we haven't seen the full might of the Thargoids, yet...

Yes but seeing as the last time the plan was to get many many pilots killed so that a few would git gud and fight the Thargs rather than having massive overwhelming force and firepower it doesnt lend itself to forward planning on their part. Maybe they just repositioning some personnel and need to create some space for them? Maybe they just a bit daft and think the way to prepare for war is to decimate each other and start from a position of weakness?

But they obviously didnt and dont expect the Invasion next week. They've allowed time for Battleships to be built and economies to gear up for war before they expect it to happen, if that is whats happening. They may just dislike the Imperials as much as the rest of us.....and run.

I don't know, I just don't think the Club would orchestrate something that puts the signing of the Sirius Treaty on hold. Didn't the Club steer us away from all-out war the last time it was brewing? Unless it's part of a grander plan that leads to something else, I just don't see the Club being behind this. Seems too obvious to point the finger at them when it could be other forces at play - something that would be more interesting then yet another 'Club' agenda, imo.
