Ships How to Reduce Missile Lock Time

I've just acquired a set of Packhound missiles and when I tried them out they seem to take a long time to lock on, so long that they seem to be of little use against any sort of manoeuvrable ship.

Is there a way to reduce the lock time required? Should I fit better sensors? Is there an engineering modification that helps?

Lock time can't be reduced, but try applying rapid firing mod to increase rate of fire and that is quite good modification

Nah, will be silly - the most efficient - and viable - mod is to compensate the darn low ammo - go for High Cap ammo ! Use rapid fire in a weapon who already come with very low ammo count is asking for trouble - you will spend that little ammo you have even faster !

To OP - use your other weapons to deplete the shields on target and fire the Pack Hound after, at the hull - if you have problems at aiming time, because the target is charging you, just reverse so you gain extra time on target. Apply the Drag effect on them, and that will slow your target so you gain extra second to aim. Works like a charm against those little pesky DBX, Eagles, etc.

I use Hounds in my miner Cutter, a huge, slow whale - but I never have problems to aim with them, lol....

I hope you know that Seekers are confused by ECM...Chaff is for Gimballed weapons, that's basic stuff.....
But as it was explained to me it is only for the duration of this module. That is, if you turn on the ECM, the torpedo will lose YOU, but as soon as the ECM turn off, the ECM will immediately find YOU again.

ECM and Chaff both have e set time in wich they work than the eeffect vanishes, it's normal, the point is that ECM is for Seekers and Torpedoes while Chaff is for gimballed weapons.
