The hunt for the darkwheel and raxxla revisited, the evidence so far

I am pretty sure it exists.. If DB says it exists and they know why players haven't been able to find it.

This also tells me they would prefer it this way. Putting a super secret organization in the game that is then discovered in few months by everybody alive.. how lame would that be?

You have to understand that game design is a bit like playing a video game. You want to have fun yourself as well. Once as a designer of a shard for Ultima Online I created a labyrinth that took 3 years for the community to solve. Just because you spend a lot of time designing something, it doesn't mean you want to share it immediately with the players.. Sometimes you want only for the best of the best to solve it in the end... It makes it all the more special for everyone involved once it finally happens.

I got partially data on the horsehead systems. Nothing special. Bloody nutter must have them all.

I guess that raxxla is in the Polaris system. Would fit to the jewel that burns on the brow of the mother of galaxies.

The north star pointing to Cassiopeia.
But how to get the permit?
Propably by the dark wheel. But since there is nothing to find, or no glues at all, no missions and no nothing, I guess you can't find it this way.
There was a peak into the Polaris showing nothing. Thats obvious, so you cant hack the code. You need to walk a path step by step before getting the permit at the end. And then they will upload it.
You also shouldnt be allowed to find it by mistake. Thats why they correct the bugs, giving us access to system data.
The will initiate missions or a mystery or something. Then the chase will start. But I strongly doubt that you can find it at the moment.

Me and Roon tried to translate the name into DEC code and look at the systems that were possible and close. Nothing.
I guess it is just a name.

Ask yourself, what gameplay value does a feature have that hasn't been seen in 6 or so years?
The fact that it hasn't been seen gives it huge gameplay value - just in this thread OP claims it occupied them for some time, there are numerous other threads and many people that play to try and find it.
Myth has huge gameplay value - if it was found, it's gameplay value would have been greatly diminished, especially because I don't think it would have any particular game function or mechanic attached to it.

Recently I found a hidden base in the Shin Dez system. That must be a clue to the dark wheel. I tortured myself from a distance of 20km (because they shoot you closer) with the Scarab through the most ty meteorite crater in the galaxy. Past death drones, into the mysterious base that cannot be found on any map and that belongs to a Lori Jameson, a faction that does not appear in the list in the system. Like a man possessed, I try to penetrate through every garage door and had to run when I try to drive into the garage of a landing ship and get scared away with rockets. In the orbital station I asked what the base was all about and only received questioning faces. So I thought, maybe nobody knows them ... Now I've had enough of the conspiracy stuff and go mining.

It was stupid but very funny. I loved it.
Also every 8th moon at a gas giant I come across is mapped.
We play their game and it is fun.

It's just a bait to keep players speculating and wasting time looking for something that does not exists (yet)...let's be real.

Well, this guy claims he heard Michael Brookes say: "The system that Raxxla is in, has been visited".

No mention of honking though.

Pretty thin basis for evidence.

So the most notable theories are:

A. Raxxla can only be accessed via the Dark Wheel
B. Raxxla is simply in a permit locked system
C. Raxxla is not an actual physical place

You might be just the person I need. In my first comment (first comment right after OP), I edited in some wild research I was trying to do, but got stuck at trying to translate binary into 3 axis coordinates. Maybe you could help? You don't need to search for me, I'll go on my own wild goose chase when I have the coordinates.

I insist to join you going there. I will take a look at the code.
