How recent will the save data be in the Odyssey Alpha?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but oh well. My main question as stated above is, how recent will the save data be in the Odyssey alpha? By that i mean will my ships and character data be transferred to the alpha servers as of Monday or do Frontier copy the data from the live build a few weeks in advance for instance.

Have fdev taken a snapshot of our CMDRs, or when will they?

They haven't said. Typically the snapshot is taken 2 weeks before a Beta, but this is an Alpha, so there may not even be a snapshot. We will find out when it launches.

Depending on the testing, you might not even start with a ship. They might test on foot in isolation (thus snapshots not really relevant).

Yeah, I've been wondering if they'll start with either the 'new start' experience or an 'everyone at this heist' setup. Might be why they called it an Alpha - but then you would think they might explain that - but hey, fdev

My guess is they will be separated to begin with, then slowly expand to a system and then release the lot, just to see how the networking and engine copes. But then, FD may surprise us like they did in the old alpha and release something further along....will be interesting!
