i am sorry, that you are unable to distinguish between reality and a computergame, but i cant help you with that. and by the way, your avatar is also not anatomically accurate, so you have to change it.

I don't think we play the same game. Personnaly, I'm playing Planet Zoo, a game where all the art direction is focused on realistic animals. It's not a cartoon game. If they put a cartoon animal in their game, like my avatar for example, it could be okay for you ?? Come on... Have a little consistency please.
And in the same way, if I made a game with cartoonish animals like my tortoise avatar, it would also be absurd to put a realistic animal in this graphic universe. It's pure common sense (I don't like that expression, but you force me to use it).

So, no, juste no, it would be absurd to have a pink elephant in Planet Zoo. And so yes, it's absurd and a bit annoying to have a so wrong anatomical animal in a game with realistic animals.

For those who are really upset about this (and it's okay to be, not being judgy), if Frontier were to comment on the issue indicating they are going to do a fix, but that it'll be released "as is" in the pack, would you still buy the pack upon release or wait to see the final result, or not buy it at all? Just curious. There are no wrong answers, I'm just wondering if the damage is done for some people and there is no way to fix this for them, or if Frontier does do a remodel if that will fix the issue.

I'm still going to buy the pack. The Binturong is not an animal I'm overly excited about anyways, despite acknowledging what we see here is very much inaccurate. But I still think they should comment on the issue and (hopefully) indicate they are going to do a remodel in the near future.

Personnaly, I'll still buy it because I think Planet Zoo is in my top 3 of favorite games ever, and I like the idea of a DLC focused on animals (even if I think 8 animals is a weird number, I would love 10), but indeed, I can understand 10$ is a bit expensive if one of the model is wrong. And it's also sad to see an absolutly beautiful Zoopedia with an ugly duckling on it.

You can invest time looking for pictures of an animal and finally find the one that fits your idea/argument, because animals are quite variable. But that pic, that animal, that angle is just an exception. In that very same link there are dozens of pictures with binturongs having a not-so-rounded shape.

Afaik you have some knowledge on zoos/animals and have probably seen many binturongs in zoos around your area, where they are quite abundant.
I'm sure you and anyone can notice which of the pictures below resembles a binturong's face more accurately:

I'd still say this animal is way too fluffy and fat, but the absolute least they could do is fix the face to look like this, though I would add that the eyes need to be cloudier and pupils need to be catlike not humanlike. But again, it's crazy to see that someone like this Twitter user or our very own @Moonfox can throw together some quick photo edits and make something that looks 100x better than what was delivered to us.

The binturong is incredibly disappointing for me. A week ago I was hyped we were going to get more animals and when I saw both the clouded leopard and the binturong on the list I couldn't contain myself. So seeing this bintuwrong took away all my joy for this pack. I'm not going to buy this pack on a promise (which we don't even have! Frontier hasn't even acknowledged that there is a problem!) that it is getting fixed. I don't care how long I have to wait, but I'm not buying this pack until the bintuwrong becomes a binturong.

Same here. Was somewhat excited for the Binturong but to me, not a deal-breaker.

Maybe for a lot of people this could be the reason to not buy it - the malayan tapir pic already created some doubts.

Same, the altered picture is clearly a binturong. The head would be shaped correctly. For me that's actually even more important than fixing the ears. At least with that I know what they were going with. Hopefully frontier will make this bintuwrong binturight. (sorry, I couldn't resist....)
