Which systems to avoid Thargoids?

So, I'm planning on moving to the outskirts of the bubble, to somewhere quieter and somewhere nearer then black. I tried Colonia, but I didn't like the constant back and forth if something interesting happened in the bubble. Anyway, I noticed all the colonies on the edge of the bubble were former 'goid territory, and since I don't want them ruining my day, I'd like to know basically where they've given up on, so I can go about my day in peace.

Edit: Got my answer pretty much. Know what to do going forward.

Buy a Fleet Carrier then? To be "mobile" - "just in case"? There is no "safe places"in this dangerous galaxy=)

It's more they can be a nuisance when they stop you or blow up your home port. And an FC isn't really mobile when it can cost you billions in fuel builds if you actually want to remain mobile...

Seriously, why do we still not have some form of 'exploration' carrier?

It is mobile. 11 loads in + 11 load outs by Cutter = +209 mils. Spent for 1 jump 3 mils at most = 206 mils pure income = 4120t of tritium, which is at worst case 50 jumps of 500 each = 25000ly. So it took 1-2 hrs to finance 25000ly.

Or a 12.5k ly round trip....

Which is a lot less than it sounds.

Do 22 trips :D and get 520 mils income.
Also, if you will mine 100t tritium each 5th jump on the go, that will almost double total way (don't ask why - model says so). So I saw the numbers (of combination initial load and mine amount) when you can do 100k 1 way.

I don't mine. It's boring a tedious to me.

then ur limit is 56k in 1 way, unless u can find some supplies near the Center.
Any way, answer is fleet carrier. Or some nebulas like Sedar sector - no thargoids there. Heart & Soul - no thargs too.

Hmmm... Counting all that has been said above - that's not as bad.
My usual gameplay style do not create income or - better to say - must not create one. While I can admit that do not creating some minimum of income is kind of a difficult task in Elite=) However... Sometimes my income could be even negative. But that's just "sometimes", on average - it's definitely positive.
In a summary I'm thinking that having an FC - even without actively using it to produce credits - is supportable. Even two of them.
Contra: at the same time I must admit that I'm more on the side of being a dedicated player - i.e. I spend some time in-game on a daily basis. My own experience probably is not a good example for more "casual" commanders.

Has anyone here considered I might just not want an FC?

However, speaking seriously - I hope you can feel quite safe anyway in the upcoming month or a bit more... Also, you are not obliged to have any "home base at all" (I've spend years without one - it's doable). Yes, some resctrictions will be applied to your gameplay style, but... they can be fun, isn't it?

I suppose I could always just test drive a region like I did Colonia. I mean, how bad can the Goids be if I don't attack them?

They will bring u back on stars jump when fuel already used, and disable your ship for 1-2 mins. If you have nothing they want - they will go away.

P.S. then ...you can do Anaconda some. Mine was flying almost 1 year without docking any station once.

You are afraid of Goids? Only the tiniest ones are aggressive, the rest... are neutral. At least nowadays. There are still rumors that you can became friends with them....
Your biggest enemy is the FD storyline department. Who knows what will come to their minds? =)

Not afraid, just see them as a nuisance. Should probably edit post anyway as I've got my answer basically.

You don't really need to avoid Thargoids.

You'll only encounter them if you want to find them--outside of Hyperdictions and unless you make a habit of hauling Guardian or Thargoid commodities, they'll just ignore you and move on.

As far as Incursions go, those are 100% FDev driven and not a natural part of the BGS, so you can't avoid the risk of FDev deciding [insert system here] is going to have an Incursion.
