From my past history what I can see is that every few months life throws in some RL challenges because apparently they are more important than ED galaxy. Tsk Tsk.In this leg of the journey I am heading to an Empire system almost at the outskirt of the bubble. Want to fix up few things, restock and just a visit an empire station as I have never done before.
This is one reason why I like Crusader or the alliance 3 Trios, the full outside view. I do agree a combat ship should not have this much glass on the cockpit but hey makes it a good explorer. I would not be surprised if the designer of the ship is an explorer in heart.
Shieldless landing always puts me on the edge still.
It would be a shame to crash inside a station.
Doing some walk around. Going to schedule a quick paint job before I leave.
Looking good in my new outfit just picked up from the station bargain shop.
Did not realize it sort of matches with the Crusader blueish interior.
Doing some planning as the station mechanic checking things up. My next destination is Hawking's Gap. From there I will go through The Norma Expanse then back home in Colonia. Let's see what awaits!
Don't have much to report really. About to push off from station in Taureret system, leaving civilization behind once again.
Tried to make few changes to see if could squeeze more jump range somehow, but looks like I already did a good job when left home in Colonia for the journey.
In this leg of the journey I am heading towards Hawking's Gap, then to follow Norma Expanse into Colonia.
While coming through the bubble, I bought a Dropship back in December when they were offering big discount. Looking forward to spend some time engineering when I get back home in Colonia. May be next journey into the black will be in the Dropship. I know, I am well aware of the miniscule jump range of Dropship. O well, good thing I don't care min-max.
In my next report, I will be lots of LY away, boldly exploring where no crusader has ever gone before........ may be

Have you got the Voice Attack and HCS Voice Pack yet? What are you waiting for? Sure, it costs more than the game itself and takes 20 minutes of setting up and getting used to, but when you have at least two or three crew members, not only you no longer need to press that button yourself,, but you can also listen to their constant rant about something stupid...
And for a VR explorer, this is a must!

There, just purchased VoiceAttack. Quick question about HCS Pack, each pack only includes one voice right? So if i want say 3 crews, i will need to buy 3 voice packs?
Exactly... You will need to buy more if you want a crew... But if you only want to have that feeling of having at least one crew member, you can also do just with the Voice Attack... It can respond to your command, you just program it:
When I say "Engage"
Press E button
Say "Aye aye, captain!"
etc etc...
Voice packs add much more automation, as I have already described in PM, but for starters, you can do without them, just get the feeling of controlling the ship as true captain...
I personally use:
Orion
Vega
Ad-Astra
There is no better feeling, than saying "Take us to orbit"... Orion confirms the order and then spools up the engines, lifts off the surface, retracts landing gear and hardpoints and engages supercruise when you are no longer mass locked... Full immersion guaranteed...
EDIT: When you enable factual Galactopedia in HCS, they will use different voices to give you a taste of the othe charactes... Whan I only had Orion, he would sometimes call another crew member and let him explain certain space phenomena... But you cannot control it...
