Yes, it's still early alpha, not a properly developed alpha, where all the 'features' you mentioned will be includedNot a streamer of course...but it also has my vote. I played last night with a couple of mates who are all regular Star Citizen players along with me...we had several hours of fumbling about trying to work out what we were doing before we realised we hadn't had any crashes or server disconnects, only one period of desync where we warped about for a few seconds before it righted itself, one instance of a mission pickup not registering and failing to complete between all of us and getting into a game together had been seamless... chalk and cheese to Star Citizen in the main...especially considering EDO is still early alpha![]()
It's maximum simulation, not realism.
There is ship to station docking also in the v1 that has mechanisms similar to ship to ship docking as you describe it.

No, it's not misleading, you can access the err 'offering' for $45. If people choose to do otherwise, that's their choice.Except, that is a tad misleading, since if every backer paid just 45 dollars, CIG would have raised less than 45 million. Considering they still haven't delivered the game promised for 5.5 million with over 400 million, the 45 million dollar game would have been non-existent.
Its almost like you can see the warning signs right from the start. Grandiose promises. Never been done before. Magical tech. To be performed in less time and on less budget than a "lesser" AAA game would take. Add on continued funding once their goals are met and you have all the red flags you need.
But some people continue to defend these things to the hilt while they struggle on, either failing to release, or eventually releasing as being a lot less than what was sold to the backers.

I only paid $35 as a really early backer, but I've never felt tempted to download and test it. In theory, I could probably claim a refund![]()
It's a valid point, but it's irrelevant to what Little Ant said. You can spend just $45. Then you can pretty much rely on others being so far in they just can't let it falter or collapse. If you never accepted the new TOS yes.
I think my point is valid. If everyone only funded the minimum, CIG would never have delivered on the game as advertised back in 2012, let along the monster it became later.
Likewise, if people stopped buying ships right now, only new people buying in with starter packs, CIG would have trouble getting a release out before they ran out of money.
Let's see...Joking aside now...the 3.13.0 patch has now been dumped on to wave 1 PTU. A whole 11Gb of bugs all in one patch
Patch notes ...read it and weep![]()
In other terms, "it's totally broken and cannot move". Whoever owns these ships only will have a lot of "fun".100 Series is missing ptich/yaw/roll
Translation: it's totally broken (means you have to land outside somewhere and go on foot inside the trade area, fortunately for CiG it's possible at NB, if this bug happened at Lorville or A18 it would be a complete show stopper)ATC at New Babbage Space Port is not allowing the exit or arrival of ships or vehicles to hangars and garages
It's an old bug, been there for years. Wont be fixed for this version either.A Players Ship can enter a state where it cannot be Retrieved
Ran into this. It's just after the spawn point. Means you cannot go anywhere since you need to ride that elevator to get out. Only way out is an account reset. An elevator in Lorville Spaceport has invisible collision blocking the entrance
That one is almost funny. Unless you happen to own just that ship.Claiming any Constellation variant that's on a pad causes station turrets to blow it up with no crimestat
That's the one that blows up if you go QT. Fun times. The Quantum Sensitive Cargo can become stuck to the players hand, while lacking all functionality
So not only that's the core functionality of that patch here, but it's also completely broken, and in combo with the also broken elevators and ramps. GG CiG.On landing pads, trolleys are unable to be pushed / pulled up the entryway / cargo ramp, or elevator ramps.
That's also part of the core of this patch, and yeah, it's broken. GG again
- Docking with a moving ship lags behind, causing a large snap into the docked position
- Docked merlin enter interactions don't show when constellation is moving
but planets doesn't revolve around the sun and the sun doesn't even exist. Stations are stationary even if they are too close to the planet to have synchronous orbit and so on...It's maximum simulation, not realism.
I'm completly fine with the size of planets of SC. I even don't understand why the 1/6 ratio is such a deal for some players.Bahwahahahaaa
That's some hardcore apologetics there. And worst of all, its completely unnecessary. Its perfectly fine to either a) agree and say you wish CIG had gone for realistic sized planets OR b) say you're fine with smaller planets even if they are not full scale.
Coming out with semantic horse manure like that though? That's just sad.
You don't need to defend CIG's honour you know.
It's a valid point, but it's irrelevant to what Little Ant said. You can spend just $45. Then you can pretty much rely on others being so far in they just can't let it falter or collapse.
I thank them, because I'm not putting in another brass cent.
You land on station, you don't dock. This patch should add ship to small station docking for all big ships. What? There has been ship to station docking for years.
It's another step toward it, those animation are needed. We might be able to get out by hand those components and put in new ones by hand too (for repairing or replacing by better ones).Sorry, is this what all the hype about physicalized components was?
Hatches opening and closing revealing what's behind them?
The docking to station add the expandable grid which is a big improvment of the grid tech.Nothing is really exciting for this patch... Zero core tech improvement, again. Where's the Server Meshing ?
I'm completly fine with the size of planets of SC. I even don't understand why the 1/6 ratio is such a deal for some players.
