Europe Pack

I think should be the next pack for in fall but I don’t know it’s whatever frontier wants to do.

This a good pack idea, though I'd like to see the European Badger, too. If we get 3 packs this year I'm thinking it may not be the next pack, but if it's 4 packs this year I'd say there's a possibility. I do hope they visit the theme at some point though, if not this year definitely next.

Great Choice of Animals. Personally I would replace the Lynx with the Red Fox and the Chamois with the Ibex. Capercaillies would also be great. I wish we would get a European Animal Pack. There are so many great European Animals that could be in the Game

The good old European Expedition Pack by Hendrix in Zt2, my god i was in love with all the contents in that pack, from animals to the log fence, one of my must have downloads 🤩

No matter what format I see it take, I just can't get excited about a full European pack. I'd be much happier if some of the overlapping species could be covered by a North American or another Asian pack (so that the player has the option to decide which continent they want their moose or wolverine, for example, to represent in their zoos, if any), and then the handful of important unique ones (Iberian lynx and Alpine ibex, mainly) get included in broader packs based on biome or conservation status.

I think an European DLC could contain these animals (4+1)
Alpine Ibex
Eurasian Lynx
Red deer
Alpine Marmot
Fire Salamander (exhibit)

I think all of these would be good choices. Then you can do a Lot of scenery stuff (mediterran, German, Englisch, Eastern Europe).
If we should get 8 animals I would take:
Wild boar
Red fox
Stork or grey heron

I do want a European pack but I do also get what you're saying and share it to a degree. I think I'm more excited about potential European building pieces than the animals. Many of Europe's animals are shared with or have animals that are very similar in other parts of the world. I'd think my choices are one of the lynx as well as the Alpine Ibex and the European Badger, but after that...the wild boar is my other pick and that's not really all that exciting, I just run out of ideas and at the point I thought about that animal we did not have a second swine/porcine animal in the game, which we do now. One of the deer that's not a Moose? I've mentioned Wolverines, Moose and Crested Porcupine only because their ranges do extend to Europe. I find it's a pack that I struggle to come up with exciting animal choices, but know we have to have at least 4+1, so I'm just filling in the boxes, and if it's an animal pack I really struggle period just thinking of 8 animals total, something I have no problems doing with any other continent, even SA and Australia, still.

Maybe we should get a European Building pack and try to fit in the animals in a biome as you suggested. Highlands, Forests, and the like.

I really struggle period just thinking of 8 animals total
1. Red Fox
2. Capercaillie
3. Alpine Ibex
4. Wild Boar
5. Red Deer
6. European Wolf
7. European Badger
8. Fire Salamander or great green bush-cricket

9 Bonus Animal. European Beaver

I would also love to see the Griffin Vulture in the Game but we would need flying Animals first

Iberian Lynx swapped with the European Wolf and it's the perfect European Pack imo, a lot of diversity and beautiful animals, i don't understand why some people are against a full European Dlc

If we got a 7+1 European pack with those animals and no foliage and props, I wouldn't buy it. The grouse is cool and I do like the alpine ibex but I've seen all the others except the wolf and exhibit choices with my own eyes in the wild on my own doorstep and that's much more exciting than pixels in captivity. Also, they don't need to be bred to maintain populations.

The European wolf is already in the game since we have the generic "canis lupus". Unfortunately its name has a wrong translation in many languages that makes us think it is an American subspecies.
Isn't it also called Timberwolf in the English Version of the Game? Also its Appearance (including Body Shape and Variations) doesn't fit for a European Wolf but it fits for a North American Subspecies, so I think it would be best to change it to a North American Subspecies in every Language and finally fix the Zoopedia Errors. It's referred to as a North American Subspecies in the Career Mode multiple Times anyways

The European Wolf needs to be protected due to how some People act about it in Real Life (don't know how it is outside of Germany). Thought the Capercaillie is endangered but maybe I've just read old Informations about it or it's just endangered in a specific Region.
Even though it isn't endangered there are a lot of Options for the Red Fox. It could be included in a small European Forest Zoo, a British Garden, a Japanese Zoo or in a North American Wildlife Sanctuary. But of course everyone can decide by themself which DLC to buy and which DLC not to buy

I found that timberwolf and grey wolf are synonymous in British English (or used to be). Maybe a native speaker knows better. Anyway, all the tags, the scientific name and the zoopedia description doesn't match the name. It's something we have been discussing for long and they keep ignoring it. I've checked the zoopedia in other languages and each language has a different name 😂.

If they split the animal in two to have an American and a European wolf I would be happy, but I think many people would complain for another wolf.

The European Wolf also needs to be protected due to how some People act about it in Real Life (don't know how it is outside of Germany).
In Spain now there's again a conflict. The wolf has recovered quite well and farmers are asking to be able to hunt them again because they kill the sheep and cows.

If we had every species of every animal in the world, then fair enough. But that's not on the table and the "obvious" choices for a proposed European pack are the common ones. And I mean that literally. Where are the endangered species in everyone's lists? You mention the Iberian Lynx. I'll throw in the saiga antelope, Przewalski's horse and Barbary macaque, as those are my preferences, with a lizard exhibit as I think they're fascinating but there are so many to pick from.

EDIT: yes, I know that endangered European animals are sometimes mentioned alongside the bloomin badger and red fox. I typed and posted in haste.

Absolutely sure about that? Only heard about it as a Name that includes multiple North American Subspecies. Also as mentioned, the Body Shape and Variations wouldn't fit for a European Wolf

Agree totally but as there won't be many more DLCs to come, I'd like to see us focus on something rare that we don't have in the game already. I did a zoo with both the arctic wolf and the timber wolf and even I, who would love to live somewhere that wolves can be heard howling, was pretty bored of them in the game.
