The Easiest fix instead of messing with the allready issued rail guns is just to issue a second one with the correct experimental or supply the materials to Every player who got the rail gun for free upgrade.,, then when passing Tod/engineer the next time pick up the Cascade add on...I think you nailed it here.

I raised a support ticket saying something to the effect of "hey I'm sure you guys are already aware but just in case you're not..." just to see if I can get some sort of official word on it. I'll post back here if I doIt would be nice if FDev would post a note saying "Whoops we goofed it up, we'll fix it next week" OR "Enjoy what you got. We'll try not to mess it up next time."

Well, good thing that there's absolutely no precedent for double-experimental modules then.I hate to be that guy, and as much as I'd love to have a cascade and super pen rail gun, we should probably not have that in the game.
TaSo i heard back from my support ticket. They are aware and are in the process of re-issuing the correct module to those that earned it. No time scale or mention if we get to keep the original module (I doubt it, its probably a straight swap) but its in hand apparently

Rail gun experimentals can be added by 3 engineers... if you want to add one to the first free rail gun... if its not vanished..
Now just want bounty hunting CG to put them to good use..That CG went pretty well then...

Not that OP. When you take away the ability to fire twice as often before having to rearm or synth, it's still only a long range rail, of which people use thousands. You even get a 10% slower firing rate. Now if this thing was both short range and long range, still 4500m range, but with +75% damage, oh boy, that's OP.I hope they put it, because this is a clearly OP module.
