Newcomer / Intro Why wont it let me sell gold

I picked up a cannister of gold, marked as stolen,,, mapped to a system and carrier that had black market option, but when i go to sell, it does not appear in list,, what am I missing,, any help here appreciated

Carriers will only buy things their owner has asked for. Try a station with a Black Market, or an outpost as you are less likely to be scanned at an Outpost.

Never used a FC one but in black markets you sell stuff in the black market screen, not the commodities screen, in case that is what you are trying.
