In a catastrophic fest of stupidity, tumbling controllers and VR helmet malfunction I managed to reset my commander! I was setting up for a CQC fest as I had the house to myself, stereo on loud and beer and shooting...when the cable that joins the two parts of my x52pro came undone, partially. this set of a series of apparent keystrokes, I was struggling to get the interface on the oculus on properly when I noticed this, tried to unplug the x52 when I saw the 'are you sure' or whatever it says bit. Next thing its reset! Why does my x52 hate me? Also why is the throttle to stick cable so damn loose? I've had it come apart in cqc....easy for me to blame that for my ineptitude. I've put in a ticket and hope for the best. Sort of don't mind starting again though. Then again...

They have restored people with slippery fingers before so here's hoping. 
This reads a bit like one of those '...and then after the cucumber fell into the yoghurt, I slipped in the shower and landed on it!' stories that GPs in the Home Counties probably hear at least once a month.

Noooooooo! CQC is honest combat, everything else fighty is uneven rubbish. I‘ve seen it. It’s rubbish. (not really, just fancied a Marvin moment).

Even having to click "yes" on "are you sure" prompt and after that again on "are you really sure" prompt would stop most accidental save wipes from happening, provided that "yes" isn't the default option on either.
An input field requiring you to type 'clear save' would probably do it.
Someone would still manage it...
