Tomorrow ill be running Plasma slug rails now that we reached tier 1....
Then the ammo cost will be the price of fuel... lol... MC running out was annoying in the CG and is why I dumped MC for rails last time...
 
Yes, it seems practically the CG event ended for both sides (except for some hardcore cmdrs on the NI side). It not worths to bother with anymore.
 
It's so easy to accumulate credits these days that trying to justify gameplay based on how many credits you earn seems an odd way of looking at the game.

Either you do something because you enjoy it, or you go and do something else (that you do), surely?
Odd way, but some are role playing as a mercenary, and enjoying that aspect of the game.
 
For example, Nova / Hadrian could have been executed, and Leo Magnus' ongoing investigation voided as he collaborates as our security chief with ACT to pinpoint the real NMLA head.

I don't care about credits, but they could give some decals for that CG.

At least it covers the ammunition.

If you include the payout for the combat bonds themselves, this one is paying out about the same as last week's Tier 1 for the top 25%, better than last week's Tier 1 for the top 10% and top 10, and not massively worse for the other ranks.

Throw in massacre missions on top of that and anyone above top 75% is doing better than last week's Tier 1 payouts.

Difference is that the tier structure on last week's meant that it actually got to Tier 4 quickly enough for people to notice that it was paying pretty well.

1.6m for top 10% what a complete joke of a CG, Frontier really are pathetic, I won't even bother staying around to collect that.
Remember, this is tier 1, that's always low, it was for the last CGs too. The higher tiers would have gotten better, IF fdev hadn't set this for bounty hunting payouts instead of combat bonds. Just badly calculated, this time in the other direction.

Badly calculated, perhaps, but nothing to do with bounties vs bonds where they seem to have the overall scaling about right.

A typical bounty CG lately has a maximum tier of 1.28 trillion and has actually got 500-700 billion. The maximum on this one is only 300 billion, and between both sides combined is likely to get around 120 billion by the end of the week.

The difference is that the bounty hunting CGs have (roughly) multiplicative spacing and 8 tiers, so 240 billion bounties (60 billion, times four for them being bounties not bonds) gets you Tier 5 and almost Tier 6 payouts.

...whereas this one and Mudhrid have evenly-spaced tiers so even if everyone fought for the same side would struggle to hit Tier 3 by the end of the week. Very odd decision - I don't know why they've done it this way for the recent CZ CGs (Rochester and previous ones had multiplicative spacing for their tiers) and it doesn't seem to be working well.
 
Just to put my tin foil hat on for a moment. What if the last 2 weeks were a test by FDev to guage player interaction?

1 GC that pays literal fleet carrier money but is nothing more than constant relogging and holding down a button, and another that requires a level of skill and attention but with a reward so small you wouldnt even bother undocking for if it was a trade run to the system next door
 
It took this long to get to T1, and the payouts are paltry. I'm not saying it should be as nuts as last week, but if I want to make creds I can just go to any CZ at any time...there's basically not much of an incentive to participate in this CG for just a million or two extra, spending hours to get there. Sadly, I'm out.

At half the reward per Kill...
This CG shown Fdev again can alter the kill bonus at will...

x4 limiter on Non CG kills in CZ yep, up to x10 limiter per kill when in this CG CZ is active...
Now that this CG shows how much players earn with up to x10 per kill hopefully its low enough to be enabled galaxy wide...
If FDEV remove stacking on pirate missions like they did combat zone missions pirate killing stops paying well and those who can tollerate it go back to mining...
