Improved AI to detect collisions and reduced damage caused by collisions!

That would solve the main causes of death I had in Beta 2!

But I do not see a solution to the release docking clamps ---- KABOOM!

Fixed schroedinger bug that was causing ship purchase to fail

Yes, maybe the bug is both fixed and unfixed.

It's been a while since I was in the development business but I seem to vaguely remember that a schroedinger bug is what we called one where you are accessing an object during creation or destruction where its "existence" is not fully defined. It both exists and doesnt and trying to use it in that state more often than not results in the program vomiting up a crash dump, or at least a single thread erupting in a big pustule of an exception.

Was the issue where the feds would start attacking the player at Nav beacons even though no crime was committed (killing wanted NPCs excluded)?

Ah right, wondered if the schroedinger reference was anything to do with his thought experiment. Schroedinger's cat.

I prefer to use the sun for timekeeping..oh. no sun. bah I'll use a watch.

What with clocks going back, my x52 clock randomly swapping timezones and date formats and for some reason my digital watch jumping forward a day, I am amazed I even know that beta 3 comes out tomorrow.

Haha! Same here! There really should be some sort of flashing yellow warning light if something big is coming in to dock as you're about to leave. Or maybe even CCTV screens...
Or, maybe you could use your peepers! Heck you could even use the scanner if you wanted to get fancy!:p

I've only tended to think of them only in destruction... i.e. the reference to the object still exists, but the data it's referencing is bobbins and invalid. In modern languages, it's usually a disposed object waiting to be garbage collected... but with a hanging reference that gets, er.... referenced.

Schroedinger's cat was both dead and alive at the same time. Same as this.
