DLC on steam & Frontier store base game

I play ED on steam with a Frontier store claimed key.
I have some money left in the steam wallet and was intending to buy Odyssey with it, can I do that or do I have to buy the DLC from the Frontier store too?

You will be able to buy and play on Steam, I got ED from the store and Horizons on Steam when I couldn't find it on the store. I then bought and played the Alpha on Steam with no issues.

I'm not sure whether you can go back to a Frontier version once you have used the cd-key on Steam - perhaps someone who has tried that could tell you if it worked.

Does Horizons appear in your frontier store account, in "My Steam Entitlements" tab maybe?
