Mission Critical Update: Currently my ship is operating at nominal capacity. I have had one incident that cost the life of a passenger. The failure of an Inertial dampener in jump. We are currently 9,175 light years from the core and there has been no signs of civilization for thousands of light years. My other passengers were understandably upset about the demise of one of their compatriots but understood that there was nothing that I or they, could have done to prevent it. Prior to jumping again I initiated a full system diagnostic on every component of the ship that I could. The diagnostic came back with an error in a power transducer on the inertial dampener of cabin 7. All other systems were operating well into the green.
The Dolphin is a sturdy ship, and my passengers (other than the one who died) are enjoying the ride coreward and the stunning vistas we have seen, We hope that our arrival at the core will be within 3-4 days, sooner if my need for sleep can be reduced by that universal stimulant Coffee, which we have an ample supply of. In the mean time, we have put down on a small planet so I can do some critical maintenance on the computer system that has been slightly glitchy the last few hours. I may have to swap out to my second backup if the stores don't have a compatible board I can swap in.
