Outfitting is even worse then it was in alpha.

Editing ship outfit on FC is absolutely painful rubbish.,

After entering ship loadout and chosing a module to change, you can't browse stored modules anymore in "shopping" submenu..
Option to show stored modules in "shop" we had in alpha is missing now.

You have to go back a few steps, enter stored modules, find the one you want to equip, select on which slot to install and most important :
remember to change "sell old module" to "store old module".

You end this step in "loadout" submenu, so if you want to swap another module to some stored one,

you have to repeat ALL STEPS ABOVE

For EVERY STORED MODULE you want to install.

I am speechless. FD has manages to... shock me with this ... monstrous, crippled substitute of user interface.

Yeah, it's not good UI design. I'm glad that I only need to change a couple of modules today!

Why have just one click when you could have 2 or even 3? You did want to use that keyboard and mouse you paid for right?

lol - it's not like the UI was well designed before (although it is very pretty). Just to request docking requires 3 or 4 button presses!

I know right: How could they possibly make a wonkier UI than what we had before? Well, they managed it somehow. It took 3 years but those chaps at Fdev managed to underwhelm the shoddy original UI by a country mile. The Odyssey UI is just...painfully, painfully bad.

Worst part IMO is the fact that we can't see what the engineering modifications are for anything in the Modules Storage. You have you equip the item first before you can see exactly what the engineering mods are. major oversight. Now I have to sift through literal tons of hardpoints and shields, guessing which ones have which engineering applied.

The lack of being able to swap modules from the loadout menu is just the proverbial icing on the cake... giant leap backwards in functionality from horizons. Why did we break something that was perfectly useable?

How do you even buy back anymore? Is it even possible?

In Alpha I'm pretty sure you had to browse the store, select the category of the thing you sold, and then it would show up among the new items. Yeah, it makes no sense, it involves a lot of clicking, and you would never figure it out on your own.

Mmm, tried that. Enforcer Multicannon wasn't there. Maybe because it is a Powerplay related item?

That said, tried it with a random mining laser and that does work.

This was a bug in alpha and the workaround was you could clear and reset filters and that would then show all your stored modules properly, so you could fit them fine from the loadout menu.

But they didn't fix that and then instead went and removed the filters so can't even work around it now.

I was trying to figure out how to replace one installed module for one that was in storage without having to sell the installed one. In the end I had to go back to the start and uninstall the module before installing the stored one. This is worst than the original or at least not as straight forward.

My god you people will whinge about just about anything, give it a few days and I'm sure you'll be singing a different tune about the UI
Well, the alpha UI was even better than this beta UI. And the outfitting problem with stored modules and that stupid sell switch was almost immediately discussed and reported in the alpha. So we gave them weeks now, and what is the result? I wonder what was even the point of the alpha, why did we bother to report at all? To test-run some popularity-driven issue-tracker, maybe?
