Hopefully, they'll fix it soon and I'll get to play some of it today.

Hey all, this may have been asked before (sorry). I just installed Odyssey (after it was pre-ordered). However, Odyssey does not show up in the Launcher at all. I did re-logins in both Steam and the Launcher and still can't see anything else besides Horizons. Any trick here I'm missing?
Suppose we all knew this update was going to be a bumpy ride; but once in WOW the graphics - seriously hooked on Odyssey. Tried the on foot part too, not able to make much traction (warthog rig vs KBM) due to learning curve - will revisit once I settle on better controller (most likely Xbox Elite Series II if it's possible). But the planetary visuals are almost a crash hazard they are so good. And the pop-goes-the-weasel of criminal shipping when bounty hunting is pure artistry. Glad I pre-ordered, though I did not participate in the alpha testing due to binding concerns - I will make the effort to get on foot for the biological exploration potential. Glad I invested in PC, though I could not give up my Xbox account and my FC. Looking forward to Odyssey release on console. Well done FDev
Why are you praising this? It literally looks worse than Horizons did.
So the Horizons update and Odyssey seem to have broken Fleet Carriers - there's now an issue where they can't jump to any system.

So, all those fancy CMDR outfits I bought while on Horizons are gone in Odyssey, right? That's kind of crap. I bought most of them just recently FOR Odyssey. I looked damn fine in those Outlander threads and wanted to strut my stuff around those star port bars. Was gonna pick me up a date on GalTinder.
they are not gone, you will find them in Loadouts, under flight suit
Oh ok, that's awesome. They don't appear as options under the HoloMe interface from the right-side HUD panel anymore, so I thought they were gone.
Update: Started Odyssey and found myself standing on a planet. Training mission for new players (according to Odyssey). Decided to go ahead and try the training mission.
Result: Two hangs and one CTD. Wow. Beta indeed.
Fired it up again, declined the training mission and played it like I would Horizons. Worked pretty well. An occasional stutter here and there, but otherwise very smooth on my 3440x1440 monitor using TrackIR. Oh, a question? How do I disable the annoying chat window? The constant blather on it is quite annoying.
Conclusion? I think I'll play Odyssey, but stick to my ships (playing like Horizons) for the next few months until this thing settles down a bit.

At Jameson I received an invite from the engineer Ismatek(sp) who offers scanner work, I decided to accept and have a look. Proceeded to his planet, arrived at his facility, requested permission to dock and it was granted. On autolanding I landed, engines shut down as usual, then I was told I was trespassing and the station lit me up and left me in rubble on the deck. (my main ride too)

Graphics well, looks nice, especially I like new skybox. But performance??? Only thing I can hope for is serious optimization also for PC players, console players are really going to need it. My RTX2060 struggles and looses with this game.
