Well, that was a simple fix, just highlight the Odyssey in the launcher and press Enter Good old keyboards eh Thanks guys

Presumably you have the launcher installed on

C:\

, and it just naively uses its own directory as a cache? But yes, it should definitely obey user preferences set via environment variable — especially now the game is so huge with all the bits.



Extract them and play through your media player of choice, surely. You can use something like the open source 7-Zip to extract.

Nope, I have the launcher installed on D:\Elite Dangerous. The samne location the game is installed to.

So everything FOR ME worked fine except for the 'customise' button on any gear. I did keep seeing could not connect to comms server but other than those two things it seemed to work fine.

Opened up Steam and started reading the patch notes. There's a rather large download going on (@ ~20Mb/s) and it's at about 82%. I assume this is the game downloading?

Is it live yet? I bought it, installed the update, it says servers are online, but Odyssey is not showing up in my launcher options?

If you are on Steam, go into your library, right-click on the elite entry and choose properties. Go to the DLC section and 'untick' the Odyssey item wait a sec and then re-tick. The content is likely downloaded, but it seems that the launcher isn't updating the installed content list properly.

Servers are down for me as well now. Was booted out of Horizons and now completely down. So definitely a FD issue with servers.

Odyssey expansion have arrived. Servers overwhelmed with CMDRs and unforeseen connection issues. Frontier staff are working to bring it all in line as soon possible.
