New starport in the Formorian Frontier

This system, a destination known as “Hypatia’s Lighthouse,” is absolutely gorgeous. It doesn’t have any terraformables, but it does have a neutron star, a fuel star, and all the raw mats needed for FSD synthesis (of all qualities).

Hypatia was a female mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher teaching in the Neoplatonic school in late 4th and early 5th century Alexandria, then part of the late Roman Empire. She was murdered by a mob in horrific fashion; collateral damage as part of a political battle for control of the city in which she lived between a power-hungry bishop (Cyril) and the appointed governor (Orestes). Much of what we know of her life comes from the preserved letters of her students and contemporaries, primarily those of Synesius, which for anyone with an appreciation for history are well worth reading even today. The 2009 film “Agora” did a good job recounting her life and depicting the times she lived in (though to capture fully the snarl of sectarian conflict that was sweeping the city at the time would have required expanding it into a full miniseries a la BBC’s “Rome”).

I would hope to see a station built in this system. “Pharos Station” has a good ring to it, as the Pharos was another name for the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which the system is already named for.

(If nothing else, the Formorian Frontier doesn’t have any DSSA carriers yet. I can’t quite afford one yet but might have to do something about that.)

Just fyi, FD hasn't run a player- submitted cg in ages now... unlikely they actually do anymore.
In fairness they’ve had (still have) a lot on their plate with Odyssey. Might end up saving up for a fleet carrier to park out there as part of the DSSA network if this doesn’t happen.
