If the bugs generate new bugs, you add them to your list of known bugs. And as long as this list of known bugs does not go below a certain threshold, well... you don't announce a release or you postpone the release. And as stated, as some bugs are addressed, others may occur - others that may need you to accept the original issues for a longer period of time.
Again, personally I have no issues with them releasing it when they have, because I am enjoying it. But again I know some are not; I hope that you and they will soon be in a position to be happy. <O
Apart from the quality and reliability of the testing process, what defines the quality of a program at its release is the choice of this threshold. FDev has chosen a known bug threshold that is completely out of whack or has chosen to ignore the threshold he initially set. It's his choice, it's his responsibility. And as players and consumers, there is no reason to bear the responsibility and suffer the consequences.
So maybe in your personal case the game works and meets your expectations. Good for you. Enjoy it. And go post a glowing review on Steam or Epic Store, FDev needs it. But don't say that those who suffer from FDev's scew up decisions should just wait and accept the situation in silence. If you can't understand that, the discussion is over.
Yes, I get this :Did you try running the launcher direct from the instal folder? That's what worked for me in the end to get odyssey installed in the first place although it hasn't helped with the last hotfix.
