Game needs to be pulled

In my humble opinion, this needs to be pulled from sale, we need to go back to horizons and the devs need to go away and rethink this whole thing from the legs up and outward... The direction the game is going in, the current state of it.
What is it all for ? If not to grind for materials ? That's the infinity of space and the milky way, all the interesting stories you could tell, and things you could do.
I hate to do the comparison but no man's sky added so much stuff to it's game, FOR FREE
This isn't worth it.

Completely disagree & there is nothing stopping you from playing Horizons. If you hate to do comparisons then just STOP! NMS is a completely different game, you might as well be saying that I got Endless Space 2 with free DLC's so ED should as well. It makes no sense.
Odyssey should of been released in Beta & Frontiers communication is terrible but they are taking the game in the right direction.

Yes, there is something stopping me from playing Horizons. I cannot load my character in horizons, because odyssey has messed it due to a bug that was reported early in the alpha

Does make sense, both games are space games in which you grind for materials. Except the art style they're very similar, both have apparent economies and ships and ship combat and planetary exploration, except one optimised it's game and added stuff to it for free the other wants your money for that stuff and even then it's not implemented properly. It's not just me saying this is broken, I don't understand the direction the games going in for ME. What's clear to me is they have no singular vision for what it is to be.
There is nothing wrong with saying ok we messed up we're going back to drawing board we're removing it while we fix stuff and we'll get it back to you when it's in better condition. In fact... I'd say that's admirable.
But they won't do that because they want your money.

I just think it needs to be relabeled a beta or early access. There are plenty of people who would rather play with something now that's unfinished than wait for months until it is.

As I mentioned in another thread, half the games in my Steam wishlist are marked as Early Access, and they all run WAY better than Odyssey does. How Steam allows Frontier to market this as a finished product, that one baffles me.

Luckily, I might add, since mission givers tend to rob you of your materials these days.
Even in Horizons, if you can believe the rumours:

PSA: Materials are being OVERRIDDEN.

(Hot Fixed, Potentially) Just saw a thread on Reddit about this (kinda far down for such a huge issue...) If you do a mission for materials, the reward amount will override your existing amount rather than adding to it. I had 70+ Security Firmware Patch. Now down to 4 from the quest reward...

I think having people play it and test it will provide a better and quicker outcome than if fdev pull it and come back say for console release. You only totally knopw something is broke when a lot of people play it, especially such a big undertaking as odyssey ( intergrating a lot of stuff into an established game )

Have patience, nothing is forever and yes i also cant play it which is frustraing on a personal level as i was very looking forward to it, but it runs so bad for me and the lack of vram on my card makes it look DR freeman which for a game like elite is not good

Oddly it's pretty ok on my PS5. Been playing last few days with no real issues on two accounts. It was rough just after launch and we have a load of new bugs. It's playable though.

I wonder why you guys on PC are even struggling with EDH. It's curious.

I've been playing pretty solidly for a couple of days now and have yet to find anything "game breaking" for me. Yes there are bugs, the new menues are sh#t and the implementation of VR is wowfull but it's still playable.

Playing fine then all of a sudden orange sidewinder and multi colors of cobra. All game styles, all modes. No more playing this weekend I guess.
