i think i captured a ufo , when my afk auto landing was failing

ok so i was landing in the middle of no where using my auto landing feature , and decided to go to the toilet , but my auto landing was going to fail on me without me noticing it , i almost lost a month worth of scanning and probing , so i came back to see an explosion and pulled on my flight stick to get away from there , luckily i ended up with 41 % hull left , and saved the video of the last 20 minutes , but after looking at it for a couple of times , i have seen a glowing orb passing by me really close and off in to the space , can any one tell me what that is ? , i am linking the video that i made when my auto land was failing hard , the orb in question fly`s pass me around 26 sec in to the video , and that was also the time i was still on the toilet , so if some one can tell me what that was would be nice

So how does this auto-landing work? Is it all the way from orbit, or just the last part?
The other day I was landing at an outpost, and the docking computer only kicked in for the final approach.
I don't have Odyssey yet, if that makes a difference.

Swamp gas, maybe the moon reflecting off venus, car headlights bouncing off a temperature inversion.
If you see it again, we can refer you to a doctor, no charge.

Roughly 300m above the planet surface, you will receive a message to deploy the landing gear in order to use the auto-landing feature. Once you deploy it, it will only kick in, when you stop your ship from moving, so you will need to throttle down and once you do stop, it will find a right spot for landing and land... If you do not throttle down, you will be constantly reminded via message on your screen to throttle down...

Well, that's pretty darned useless. I can already do that part easily enough. It's getting to that point that takes too long.
