The courier is one of the most responsive ships to engineer and outfit.
In that you can pretty much tailor it to whatever you want to do from a heavy armoured combat ship and all the way to the 3rd fastest ship in the game!
It really does move from one end of the spectrum to the other, simply one of the most flexible multirole ships in the game.

Probably because its the best cabin for staring at week after week on a long journey.
Oh and the 50+ LYr jump range doesn't hurt, particularly when a little bit of Frameshift supercharge from your local Neutron star gets you 230+.
I always loved that pretty little ship, but found no use for it. Back when I started the game, I scrounged every penny to get me one, only to be promptly killed in my first Haz Res. So I moved on and got bigger ships, and now I have the nostalgia for the small ones I skipped. I'm currently happy in a DBX, even though there's better ships for what I'm using it for.
If they ever offer a way to get a Courier without the Imperial rank, my superpower averse alt will shift biowaste night and day to make the cut.
The Courier is a ship I ignored early on (thought it looked like a banana).
Now I love it, great little runabout ship and has a very appealing set of ship kit parts. Very handy for Odyssey as you can land right next to your mission and get out fast when things go south. This is Road Runner

'Best' is very subjective.
If you want a small ship that can go from a heavy fighter to a comfortable explorer to the 3rd fastest ship in the game then the courier is where is!
It is a crazy flexible ship that responds like no other ship to engineering and build tweaks no end...
And it seriously give you fighter pilot vibes with that bubble cockpit canopy
For Odissey it looks like the ideal ship !

I think its the ideal ship to do on foot Odyssey missions
