Have we made fun of the log file issue yet?

Ha yes, massive log file in an alpha...

I once created a log file of 200 Mo on a simple website I was developping.
So are you saying anyone who boots up SC should have the same knowledge as a developer and somehow magically know that these huge files are being generated and eating up space on their drives?

The better question is why this project is generating those files for every single server action (and error, failed animation, etc.) and dumping them on the client side.

The other question is why CIG doesn't put out a "Hey, you might want to clean these up periodically" statement for those who don't understand game development.

To prove the persistence level. Then drop it on the haters like comic 16ton weights.

Because every backers clearly understands game development, its only us FUDsters that don't understand game development.

As the kids say, I feel seen.
My kids don't say that... the latest bit of startling wit to come from my eldest was that I should have a sign above the farm gate that reads 'Arbeit macht Frei'... I think I'll make him plough the top field on his own just for that one. He's fortunate I don't have a ploughhorse any longer or he'd be doing it minus the fancy tractor :cautious:

Give him a break, I still remember the manure incident. That was a bit cruel, Mole. But funny.
